Outside the DarkTower, amongst the roses.

I like these for the most part. A few little details to add and they will look really nice.

Although I would post this kind of stuff in the painting and modeling thread next time. Showcase is for completed and based works iirc.

Every Dakkanaught gets a 4+ Pinch of Salt save.
When you suffer a Falling Sky hit, roll a D6 - on a 4+ the hit is ignored as per the Pinch of Salt save. On a 1-3 panic insues - you automatically fail common sense tests for the next 2 weeks and get +7 to your negativity stat. -Praxiss

They look excellent so far, however i agree with Deathshead420 this is not completed and some people will whine about it.

They do look great so far though so get them based and put them back up!

Hopefully one day i'll have an army!

A bit dark for ultramarines, but I like how moody they look, either way.

I think the face could do with a bit of highlighting but otherwise it looks good.

they look like they were painted a suitable ultramarine colour, but then you slopped on buckets of black wash, leaving the lighter colour in shadowy areas

Very nice paintwork. I especially like the feathers and the cloth.

However, since the bases are not finished I am afriad that I shall have to move the thread to the P&M forum.

The Showcase is for fully finished pieces.

I'm writing a load of fiction. My latest story starts here... This is the index of all the stories...

We're not very big on official rules. Rules lead to people looking for loopholes. What's here is about it.

I'd say you definately need to go back over them with the blue to regain that Ultramarine blue look. Your wash has covered everything that it probably shouldn't have (I've had the same problem many times).

One suggestion when doing a wash is to do a gloss varnish coat first so that the wash flows off the top surfaces and into the recesses better. It would mean less re-painting in the end.

Otherwise a good start! Get those top surfaces re-done and pick out the few missed details and you've got some great models there!

Some parts look really weird because of my camera, the places with lighter colours arent actually there, the whole model is darker and shadowy.
