Some Tomb World in some galaxy by that one thing in that one place (or Minnesota for nosy people)

drop the combi on the havoc squad its an ineffective use of points as they will probly be sitting at the back of the table firing off those autocannons

also you are making your cultists too universal either make them all autoguns and heavy stubbers or make them all autopistols and flamers

also i would think about putting the scrolls of magnus on your sorcerer in case you get a bad roll for powers

Is this friendly or competitive?
Whats the general plan you had in mind for the list?

Firstly I would aim for 4 troop slots at 1850.

I like your zeentch terminator unit but its pretty expensive and i'm not too sure concerning the purpose of the sorcerer in the unit.

The Chosen unit are pretty slow so maybe consider raptors if you want something for close combat, Spawn are a better choice since with MoN you can get T6.

I'd look to do something other than the Termy unit/Lord/Sorcerer and free up some points for more fast slots and heavy.

^^^ agreed try to make some points for a deffy becasue now with 4 hp and iwnd they are ridiculously durable and complete monsters with their battle cannon, autocannon, heavy flamer etc

Thanks for the tips, basically I'm just trying to make a list that's balanced as much as possible for friendly games.

im a complete newbie and so don't really have a plan specifically yet, jyst want a starting point.

The lord would ride with the termies and be a mobile unit to pick off scoring units.

The cultists would try to hold objectives along with the marines

The havocs would sit back and fire the autocannons for vehicle and heavy infantry take downs

and the sorceror is there just so i have some psychic stuff to play with

weak plan i know but as i said just want a starting point.

A land raider can only hold 5 terminators total so either you have to drop a termie or have your lord in another unit. This is because terminators have bulky special rule which means they take up 2 slots (and can't ride in rhinos because rhinos prevent bulky units from riding in them). For this reason I usually either take 3 mutilators + lord or have the chosen unit in the land raider with the lord.

I'd be tempted to take burning blade of skarabrand on your sorcerer since it is better than any ranged shooting spell we can get, doesn't need to roll to hit or to cast or deny the witch and is only 35 points. The scroll is a bit of fun but not very good.

Well what you could do for stupid expensive also is have Ahirman and 20 Tsons infiltrated to midtable or whereever.

That could be your command unit/power house block.
With Ahirman he gets 4 spells.
1 roll on the Zeentch chart and then you could do 3 on the Biomancy chart trying to get Endurance which gives Feel No Pain.
Cast FnP on your Tsons and then you have a 3+/5++ or a 4++/5 ++.
You also have 40 shots rapid fire AP3 bolters with the Icon of flame under 12 inches. 20 Ap3 shots at 12-24 inches.

That's a lot of shooting in a pretty durable unit that can also capture objectives.

expensive though, Tsons would be 495 plus Ahirman is 230.

But yep, think about options, Nurgle Lords and Khorne Lords on a steed or Bike are nice also accompanied by Spawn or Bikers.

I'd rather have Huron infiltrate noise marines. They get salvo 3 and ignores cover. Huron can tank for them vs ranged fire with his 2+ and your likely to be in cover anyway.

actually i have a different take on this list

the problem in this list is basically not enough troops, you need another chaos space marines squad or more cultists

i see the chosen as the point sink where you can get these extra points - they have no transport and little firepower, by the time they get close enough to hurt something they would have lost numbers, or even worse they could fall back and not be able to regroup

if you are going mark of tzeench, why not go for 2 sorcerers or a daemon prince rather than the lord? maybe even throw in
some thousand sons

dont worry if you have already got the chosen models (ala dark vengence) i use those as aspiring champions

oh one more thing, on the termi's if they are riding in the landraider you ought to give them heavy flamer rather than reaper autocannon, autocannon is better if they are foot slogging it across the board, if they are shut up in the landraider all that range of the autocannon will be wasted, a nice big blast from a heavy flamer would be tastier

oh oh and one last thing!!! you could take the landraider as a heavy support choice instead of dedicated transport? then you have the option of having the termi's deep strike instead, its nice to have options
