Apologies if this has been answered in advance.

I've been reading through the FAQ and the WD390 to get an idea of what profile Dakkajets have. After some searching and cross-referencing info I noticed odd wording for the Strafing Run rule. For anyone unawares, the rule basically says with salvo, assault, heavy or blast weapons you get +1 BS against most ground targets. But the rule does not include jump or jet infantry in this - it only says infantry.

So does one gain +1 BS against jump and jet infantry from the Strafing Run rule?

No, because they are not the same unit type as that specified. Think of it as the unit being able to quickly "jump" out of the way

In 6th jump and jet infantry are not separate unit types. So anything that affects Infantry would also affect Infantry (Jump) or Infantry (Jet).

As Rigel2 noted, Jump and Jet Infantry are not separate unit types anymore. They're special rules which add onto and modify Infantry (or Monstrous Creature), while STILL being subject to all rules that affect the base unit type.

On a Dakkajet? No, you'd have to take the "Flyboss" upgrade in order to get +1 BS. Strafing Run doesn't cover Flying Monstrous Creatures.
