So yeah, most of Arnor's army is more for background and my liking the models rather than actually for a good army, so I'm mostly checking to see what dwarves I should take to help compensate.

Warband 1:
King's Champion- 125
3 Vault Warden Teams- 75

Warband 2:
Murin and Drar- 150
10 Dwarf Warriors with Iron hills veterans (S4 rather than 3)- 110

Warband 3:
Elladan and Elrohir with Bows, Horses and Heavy armour- 180
8 Rangers of Arnor- 64

Warband 4:
Halbarad with Horse and spear- 76
4 Rangers of the North with Horses and spears- 128

Warband 5:
Great eagle- 90

Total- 998pts

So the background for this army is when Halbarad, Elladan and Elrohir were on the way to the Pellenor fields along the river Andiun, they passed the east gate of Moria, where a small contingent of dwarves had gone to to find out what had happened to Balin's company. They saw an army of evil about to attack them from behind, so the ship containing Aragorn and the rest of the rangers carried on, and the elves' ship anchored and the rangers marched out to aid the dwarves.
I'm planning on making a board for this, with one third comprising of the gate and a valley, and the other two thirds being some rocky plains, with a river running down one side- hence the high-defence, low-number dwarf army, being holed up in the valley, and the bow-heavy ranger army, which can sit on either side of the valley, shooting down. The eagle is there simply because my regular opponent usually fields at least one troll, and I can work it into my background (the rangers of the north are good friends with the eagles).

Looks like a fun list to have, even play against. I need oto get my mits on the Angmar & Moria book to finish off my list.

you just keep that giant eagle off my goblin king. He's not a fan of flying.

hah, and yeah, just played a game with that list (minus eagle, a ranger of the north, Murin and Drar, Halbarad or Elladan and Elrohir's horses) against a handful of beserkers and crossbowmen, 5 wargs and captain with warg, saruman on a horse and two trolls and it went quite fairly- I think victory was tipping in my favour after losing my king's champion, 2 dwarves and 3 rangers, but managing to kill 3 wargs, saruman, most of the crossbowmen and beserkers and a troll.
that was mostly due to the dwarves on the right losing, but not dying (10 D7, 1 D8 and 6 D9 models in a line will do that), while Elladan and Elrohir led a few dwarves around the centre, and my rangers shooting anything that tried to move round the left.

Very Nice, I've only got The goblin town evil lot, I'm going to expand with Fubul and Narzug (Narzug on foot) on Wargs with a few wild wargs and some hunter orcs on foot & mounted, Mixed with a Few gribblies from the Angmar & Moria book (Spiders warg cheiften, Troll hero bat swarms hehe)

After Xmas i will get pics up of my fully painted force & Board and my bro's thorins company.

Aye, I think I'm going to take it easy for the next month or two painting goblin town, then come february I'll hopefully have enough money for the next wave (the eagle and maybe the dwarf grimhammers, depending on price). After that, it's off to the forces of evil, where I'll be focusing on the black guard of barad dur (and troll chieftan), with a contingent of morgul knights.
That is, if my lord of the rings phase lasts that long before I go back to my space marines
