Recently got an Exorcist (Sisters of Battle Rhino with the pipe organ on it) as a gift from a friend and I am relatively certain I could beat a polar bear to death with this thing. Anyone have any other models they would like to put up as weighing the most? And maybe a funny story about how you bludgeoned an opponent with it when he started winning?

Out of the normal range, probably the pewter dreadnoughts. From the not-so-normal range, at one point GW made a pewter 40K-scale Thunderhawk that was in the neighborhood of 12-15 pounds.

Still less than a Manta, which weighs 28 pounds empty and can carry an entire Tau army inside it.

I second the old Pewter dreadnoughts is we are using the normal range of models. Or maybe the old metal vindicator?

We used to call the old pewter dreadnaughts 'lead-naughts'. When plastic dreads starting trickling into our armies we would always get a cheap laugh when somebody picked up the plastic version only to be surprised how high they lifted it off the table.

Yep, however he did go as far to say "normal range". Even you can admit FW much less super heavies aren't normal range
I've been thinking heaviest IC. Single model. Might be Ghaz, that guy weighs a good big. Friend has a metal/plastic vindicator that's awkward heavy too.
Heaviest model?
Maybe a Metal Tyrant, or Daemon Prince?

Sure, but the old metal Thunderhawk is even less "normal range" than a Manta, since it was a limited-production item that went out of production (for very good reasons) a long time ago.

I was trying to track down the weight of that thing. Wonder how many parts that thing was ...
To make this a decent conversation/thread though we should probably stick with 40k "standard"
Otherwise it's already over, and where's the fun in that?

I have and old metal chaos dread, metal ork drednaught, 3 metal killa kans, and a metal DP with metal wings. All of those are pretty hefty and were among the heaviest standard models GW produced that I'm aware of. The only thing that might have weighed more would be the screamer cannifex. I almost bought one to turn into a trophy hood ornimant for an ork battlewagon, but just couldn't justify the expense.

Heaviest model is such a boring question since the answer is given in the first post. So, new question:
What is the densest model in the game.
IOW, what model has the highest weight for its size. Everyone knows that bigger is better, but what model stands out as being absurdly heavy for how big and complex it is?

Metal Ghaz. That model literally seems to break the laws of physics he's so frickin heavy for his size.

I'd also like to add a +1 to the GUO. Let's add to 'heaviest' and bring in 'most dangerous'. I'd like to put in a humble nomination for the BFSP night goblin with spear. Step on one barefoot. You'll be begging to get smacked in the face with a sock full of dreadnought.

Once you open up fantasy, you need to consider things like the old, lead stegadon. Which is not only a huge chunk of lead, but covered with spikes. It holds the title of "Mini I'd least like thrown at me" in my group
Weren't the old DE talos metal? That's a sizable chunk of metal, with stabby bits. Pretty much anything larger then a dread was plastic, so that class of mini is going to be the heaviest in 40k.

The talos was surprisingly light for its size being metal. Was hollow mainly. The outer metal coverings were the only heft to it.
