Hi all
This is a piece for my nurgle table: the Maggot Mounds. I finally managed to finish it off during this holiday break.
The mounds are expanded polysytrene covered with sand. The pillars are wedding cake columns. The maggots are painted rice grains.
I've put up more pictures here: http://nothingunpainted.blogspot.com/2012/12/nurgle-maggot-mounds.html
Each mound has 3 pits of maggots in it in the symbol of Nurgle and the mounds themselves are normally arranged in the same pattern.
Here's hoping this does not exacerbate your boxing day indigestion

Excellent job on the translucient maggot white and the segmented joint highlights, they are pertty gag reflex inducing.

Thanks for all the kind words.
My seven-year-old daughter helped by adding the gloss varnish to the maggots and commented "shew, dad... you must be the best person in the whole world at making ugly, disgusting models"
