Sad news, but it was a jolly good innings and he made a lot of good TV. A life well spent.

I'm writing a load of fiction. My latest story starts here... This is the index of all the stories...

Aye, Thunderbirds mesmerised me as a kid, and it was old then. Great TV along with the likes of Stingray.

I loved those three shows (thunderbirds, Captain Scarlet and Stingray), very sad news indeed

I wonder if I still have the VHS copies in the attic?

Currently debating whether to study for my exams or paint some Deathwing

Probably work

I heard about this. I didn't see Thunderbirds when it originally aired, but my dad was sure to get me to watch it when they replayed the episodes in the late 80s, as he remembered it from when he was young. Sad to hear he is gone, but quite a legacy he has left behind.

Thunderbirds are go.

I bought my wife the whole series of Captain Scarlet for christmas, we watched the first two episodes the night before we heard he had died.

When I was young Gerry Anderson did a bit of a tour speaking live to audiences, I remember my dad taking me as I was a big Thunderbirds fan and it had just been repeated for the first time in many years, must have been about 1990.

Pity they bought out that god awful Thunderbirds movie before he died (he loathed it).

I believe there's a decent Thunderbirds flick to be made some day. Knock off all that stuff with the Hood (who was only in it occasionally) and just play it as a disaster movie.

Very sad news. I just hope they re-run them on the BBC like they did a decade ago.

Was sad to hear this news. Makes me want to rewatch my Thunderbirds and Captain Scarlet dvds.

Bruins fan till the end.

Never assume anything, it will only make an ass of you and me.
