Six weeks, should be manageable. But if i want to test run the army on a hobby night I need to get it done in 4 maybe 3 weeks so I can use a hobby night at a FLGS instead.

So am rather suggesting a realistic ambition for 2013, even if that means working back to 'what do you want to have done and by when', rather than strict deadlines.

I'm going to actually paint an entire unit...

1. Finally get an Imperial Guard army
2. Start taking my painting to the next level (freehand, nmm)
3. Make a battlemat
4. Look at getting into commission painting
5. Get 500 points of Orcs and Goblins painted
6. Enter Golden Demon
7. Buy a better airbrush than my harbor-freight thing.
8. Actually maintain my blog

EDIT: 9. Get a better photography set up

1. Finish painting my Cryx. Maybe ~45 points left to paint.
2. Finish painting the gators ~70% done.
3. Play an Unbound game.
4. Quit my kickstarter addiction.

1.Paint about 150 minis before march.
2.Paint as many as I reasonably can of the 200+ reaper bones and 100+ other minis I have.
3.Minimize my self control failures on purchasing minis.

Main ones are:
1: Finish my Necrons up to 2000pts.
2: Get all my current CSM rebuilt and painted before adding new stuff.
3: Keep my P&M blog updated.

But the big one is to paint 30-50 models a month and buy fewer
than 30-50 models per month.

Last year I hit 377 models, but that was annoying to do because
I didn't paint much of anything throughout the year and then all
of a sudden hit up 150 models in August. That was exhausting.

2013 I am going to completely erase my mountain of unpainted/unassembled/unboxed stuff. I'm not gonna say I'm not gonna purchase new stuff because I probably will. But everything new I get this year along with everything I currently have will be assembled, painted, based and sealed before 31/12-13.

Mountains are depressing

1 Finish painting the odds and ends from my friend's SOB army that I worked on. Just a handfull of arcoflagelents, spare immolater weapons, some IG HQs

2 Paint all my new purchases. Right now this is just finishing an ADL w/quadgun, but my group of friends does our gift exchange this Sunday, so that pile might get bigger.

3 Make a display board for my army. I've had the sheets of foam insulation waiting to be carved for years, never get around to it.

4 Base my army. Someday this will happen.

5 Paint my spare bits. I've magetized a number of things, painted the primary set up, but never get around to doing the other options.

6 Try to get more games in.

There are a bunch of projects I'd like to do, but need to see what the budget looks like. So those arn't on the resoulution list. Make a Lysander counts-as, another squad of sternguard (deathwatch?) or just add a few more items to my army (TFG, some more tanks)

Paint every model I own.

(That is an extremely high bar to set for myself but if I achieve a 50% completion then that would be quite an accomplishment lol)

1. Finish painting my Skaven army.
2. Paint my Ogre Kingdoms army and track my progress in a separate P&M thread.
3. Paint at least one Space Marine per month this year. Yes, I realize that might not seem like such a big goal to most of you but I'm trying to have my Space Marines be better than just tabletop quality which my rats and fatties will be at. And I'm really really slow. Probably won't be a dedicated P&M thread though.
4. Paint at least one Malifaux model per month this year. Same caveat as above.
5. Spend at less than half on models/toys in 2013 than I did in 2012. Cheap plastic crap isn't really so cheap when you see that you've dropped five large on it. :(
6. Play at least one game of 40k, Fanstasy, and Malifaux per month.
7. Build my Chaos Space Marines "show" army. Basically a small army (around 1000 points) based on Tzeench using the DV stuff and a few cool looking support units. Not Thousand Sons though. This includes themed bases and some sort of display board to put them on.
8. Return to doing some "Masterclass" painting. I've been halfway through the Ork warboss for seven months now. :(

After a failure last year, I am just going to reuse some of the goals again!

1) Play more often. I have 11 different table top games now. Only have played 2. I want to play the rest.
2) No buying new models until I paint what I have or get rid of it. (per game system)
3) Finish Black Templar painting (its only 36 models right now!)
4) Finish more Cadians
5) Paint all the Dreadball stuff I have. That should be easy!
6) Paint remaining Cygnar
7) Work on KoW, Project Pandora, and Dreadfleet
8) Either strip or sell Catachans.
9) Improve modeling skill (assembling and what not)
10) Improve painting skills (which will happen if I complete any of the above)

P&M
1) Paint at least 60 space marines -12 done 48 in progress
2) paint at least 6 tanks or flyers - 4 in progress
3) paint at least 30 nids - several in progress
4) paint at least 3 monstrous nids - 2 in progress
5) complete at least 6 GMS trade - 2 in progress

Gaming
1) Participate in Adepticon TT
2) Participate in 2 local leagues - 1 in progress.
3) Participate in at least 12 board game night
4) learn rules for infinity, relic knights, sedition wars, brushfire, and dreadfleet. All of which I have or will have, and none of which I know.

1. Finnish my Chaos Dwarf army, that means painting some seventy Infernal Guard
2. Find a model that can represent my K`daai Destroyer
3. Paint the last of my CSM
4. Complete my Misty Mountain army

1. Rebuild my IG army using various 3rd party bitz.
2. Paint more than 12 ork boyz, 15 guardsmen and a tank (my "record" for last year)
3. Get at least 1,000pts of both orks and IG fully painted/based to table top quality.
4. Get started on my Ork warbiker horde army (6 bikes done already!)
5. Get a 7 tank strong IG Armored Battlegroup painted up and ready for play (1 Executioner down, 1 Commissar tank, 1 Vanquisher Command tank, and 4 regular russes to go)

I've got my work cut out for me, especially since I can barely paint

Vow for the Year...

1. Finish all the new Terrain for the Bugeater Grand Tournament---Slaanesh themed table, Tzeencth--think MC escher.., Eldar Maiden world..
2. Start and Finish my Kroot Mercenaries army...already made some great trades in the Swap Shop!!
3. Finish my Astral claws up to about 2500 pts.
4. Finish my Star Phantoms up to about 1500-- these guys are gonna be just as much fun to convert as the Astral Claws were...I already put together one unit of Scout units and i put the heads from the Tomb Kings skeletons on them -- pics to follow , check out the Painting Vows page..

Love your IG conversions, the piper especially is inspired. Will make a beautiful and unique army when painted.

Finish assembling and paint my two space marine megaforces.

1. Finish off my Space Marine army--I'm repainting the tanks and adding decals (almost done now) and I have to finish the Stormtalon (primed and ready for painting).

2. Spend the first half of the year (or so) playing the crap outta the Space Marines and exploring the codex. Really get the rules for 6th down.

3. Build, paint, and field a 1,500 point Necron army by the end of August.

I guess I'll post, if nothing else I can look back at the end of the year and see how well it worked out...

1. Finish my High Elves. The army was fully painted, then I bought about 100 more of them to add a bit more than 1,000 points to the total. I have 41 left to do.

2. Get through at least half of my remaining pre-Heresy Thousand Sons, which were started in 2009 or so. The army's playable at 1,000 points or thereabouts, but I'd like to take the fully-painted portion to 2,000 points or more.

3. Make significant progress (fully assemble and prime, begin painting) on at least one of my other army projects.

4. I'll need a few more minis for roleplaying game characters over the year, and ideally I'd like those to be fully painted before the second session of each game in question.

I think I can succeed with the above. I painted a total of 89 models in 2012 and the above would be a similar amount. So, perhaps not quite as ambitious as some other posters.

My hobby resolutions are as follows
1. Paint the last bits of my IG that are not painted (a platoon, newly acquired Basilisk and Manticore, 2nd Valkyrie)
2. Paint all the Blood Angels I currently have (1 Sang. Guard squad, 1 10 man Assault Squad, 1 Stormraven, 1 Baal Predator, 1 Libby, 1 Land Raider)
3. Paint my White Lions regiment (20 strong)

For the DA: Refinish my old terminators, paint the remainder of my PA, Paint my new models.

For the Skaven: paint the remaining 300 models (so far 25 done)

For my Lizards: ? we'll see in july

For the Demons: IF the plastic Keeper of Secrets appears the Slanneshi horde will be assembled.

The Tau: on hold.
