Started reading these about 15 years ago, and they still excite me as much now as they did then.

Just finished reading the latest short stories collection, which was a fantastic read.

I'm curious what others would like to see from the series though? I think id like them to develop some longer term relationships that dont have to go sour all the time, as it has done with ulrika for instance. Id be particularly interested in the duo befriending a black smith on their travels. Maybe they save his life and he pledges himself to their service? Could lead to some funny "whst the hell was I thinking" dialogue between he amd Felix.

So yeah, whats your wish list for these guys?

A new Omnibus and perhaps a new adventure in Lustria or even better Nagaroth. And I dont think there is a need for new characters in the series, and the whole Ulrika thing never bothered me really. She is after all a fringing Vampire and thus only deserving of death by axe or sword.

Lol, see I like ulrika, and her aiding them as a vamp adds a nice twist to the story, not knowing if she can really be trusted or not.

I would likr to see a permanent third member added to the party, at least for a while.

Hm, permanent and for a while seems contradictory. .. I guess id just like them to have a bag boy or something if that doesnt sound too idiotic, they must have a lot of gear to lug about as far as provisons go, and they're getting quite well known, so someone that could act on their behalf in a town they cant enter due to them being easily recognised gives room for more storytelling. Before he gets hacked apart by a vicious gang of skeletons or something!

Well to be fair they had Snorri, until he died. And they had other Dwarfs travel with them, but they died too. It seems being these two individuals friend will lead to a early grave.

And you dont need to know if you can trust a undead. Slay it and you are done with the dilemma

When did Snorri die? I'd forgotten about that. There's a shot story with Snorri in it (no G&F though) in that little compendium they did recently.

If memory serves me correct, I think he died towards the end of Zombie Slayer but I could be wrong. It has been some time since I read it

I haven't actually read these books yet but they do keep appearing in my list of things to read! my searches though have been fruitless to get an accurate list of how many books and what order to collect them in? I love novels and series like these and have read the entire 'Magician' series twice! so i'm hoping these are as good as reported!

Just start with Omnibus one and make your way on through the lot. They stop at the 3rd Omnibus atm, then it's on to, iirc, Elfslayer. Can't recommend the books enough. The 1st Omnibus is good, though it's the second and third omnibus's where they really come in to their own imo.

To be fair, something like half the people they travel with are slayers, so early grave doesn't have the same implications as with normal characters.

And I didn't know he died, I thought they had a vision of him leading an army and dying or something like that...time to dig out zombieslayer again. And just as I was about to give Ice Station a whirl again...oh well, it can wait a day.

Well glad someone could provide fresh insight. And aye the Slayers are somewhat destined for that, I think one of my favorite moments was when they where in that Kislevite city that gets layed siege to. That event showed how Slayers prefer to die, and by the ansetors was it glorious to read about.

One of the many attacks on Praag? Was that the same one where the statues / dead / daemonic entities came to life?

That was a truly awesome read. It reminded me of the attack on Gondor with Gandalf manning the walls.

I had a dream when I was younger to be half as badass as Gotrex, but then I realized I am too tall and somewhat afraid of undead, giant dragons and slavering Ghouls

I got married, which soon got me used to giant dragons
