Thought this was a joke. But the next Marvel Thor movie is indeed about Malekith the King of the Dark Elves:

After some checking, Marvel indeed invented Malekith in 1984, a year after Warhammer Fantasy game started:

Dark Elves were present in the 1984 catalogue http://www.solegends.com/citcat1984comp2/citcomp2022-01.htm , but it is still obvious that GW was "inspired" by Marvel IP.

Marvel also invented "Angron" (40k SM primarch) before GW used it (he's an antagonist in an old Captain America/Falcon team up issue) from the mid 80s.

They might think they did - but nope. Angron was an energy creature from Earth's far future (so far in the future that the sun had entered red-giant stage, and the only life left on the rock was Angron's people) who got sent back in time through some wtf device. Captain America and Falcon (first black superhero I ever saw - next one was 'cyborg') but was a pretty lame one-shot teamup otherwise.
