If you've read up on the Chaos Codex you've probably seen that our lovely Daemon Princes have been subjected to T5 base stat. Which unfortunately means that they are subject to potentially being instagibed by STR10 Weapons as they are also no longer Eternal Warrior.

My question, when bestowing a mark of Nurgle to a Daemon Prince, does the MoN incur the +1T characteristic to the Daemon Prince? (since Daemon Princes actually have their own set of rules for marks and what each do for them when worshiping their patron god)

You can't purchase marks for the Deamon Prince, you can only make them a Deamon of X.

So it's stuck with T5.

I'm expecting an Imperial Knights supplement dedicated to GW's loyalist apologetics. Codex: White Knights "In the grim dark future, everything is fine."

"The argument is that we have to do this or we will, bit by bit,
lose everything that we hold dear, everything that keeps the business going. Our crops will wither, our children will die piteous
deaths and the sun will be swept from the sky."

As above - you need to more carefully read the entry, and note that NOWHERE do you get the Mark of X, you are instead a Daemon of X

That is sorely depressing.. For such an expensive HQ with such high potential, I can't ever see a reason to field one now :(

Well as a Deamon of Nurgle and wings it could get a good dodge save. Really the points cost only discourages from using it without wings. With wings and a mace it's actually a good beat stick to fill the second HQ slot.

Sadly I don't feel that the other three options are worth a damn at all.

Well, my logic was that since he could fly, and things would have to take snap shots at him, he could get pretty far into the enemy lines, in turn be able to kill things easily (for the key to activate) then I could Deep Strike things next to him without having to scatter XD

Works in theory, until you realize that you'd probably take maybe two, three turns for that to happen reliably (without him getting killed along the way) and then the chance that your deepstriking stuff might actually arrive before the Key gets activated, which would then make it probably the biggest, useless point sink in your army.

Too true XD It's sad that the Key really doesn't have another effect :( I wish it gave someone even +1T... that would be nice

I had this problem with my DE army giving my archon a webway portal (same as key really) I either wouldnt get too far and might as well have walked them or they come in from reserves before I have portal set up
