We garnered such positive reviews of our last Midnight Madness Event, that we are going to do this craziness all over again.
Be sure to read the packet as I have changed up the Missions, Scoring, Rules, etc.. from previous tournaments.
It's all in the name of fun this time around so come on down for some more DOMINATION!!

Awesome to have some people on-board already!!! Keep in mind though, there is no reserve seating.. Tickets will go on sale January 10th (Through the TSG Website) and it's the first 32 players that purchase a ticket.

MikeFox - I don't recall hosting you before so.. Welcome to the AWESOMENESS that is a Thou Shalt Game 40K Tournament.

Azgrim - We'll be glad to have you again... You better watch out, You're becoming a TSG Regular After the Power Outage fiasco, I added a light source to the required items so a flashlight would definitely qualify
We're looking to make Midnight Madness a marquee event in SoCal and as far as that goes.. so far so good!! If this one does well, expect a Midnight Madness - Spring Edition.
TSG is also running a Build & Play League starting at the end of the month which rewards painted armies.. so we are definitely trying to encourage both aspects of the hobby; Painting/Modeling and Domination.

Then you are in for a treat. The army has some awesome conversions, can you say flying rhinos? (Counts as Dakka Jets) Its won some best painted awards. Its great to see a tournament with a proper section for painting awards.

Will try to be there if I can, depends on how much free time I have leading up to Slaughter in Space.

Unfortunately, due to circumstances beyond the control of Thou Shalt Game, their home webpage has been taken down until further notice.

Tickets for Midnight Madness can still be purchased in advance via PayPal by sending the entry fee to sales@thoushaltgame.com. Upon which, you will receive a confirmation and your name will be added to the 32-man roster.

The roster will be continually updated on this thread, as well as Facebook and If you happen to pay for a ticket after the field is full, your money will be immediately refunded.

Greetings Gamers!! For those of you that are attending this event.. I have a small request. I believe that TSG owns enough terrain to comfortably outfit the required 16 tables; however, if some of you wanted to bring a table's worth of your own terrain, just in case, it would be greatly appreciated!!

I have my full table of scenery that is being built for the Bay Area Open. So if I can come on down Ill bring that. Its got a full kits of plastic trenches, a bunch of orky stuff, some fuel depots, and just a bunch of goodie.

There has been a change to the "No Refunds" policy of Midnight Madness that will put some of you at ease about pre-paying for a ticket.
If you pre-pay for a ticket at the $35 Advance Price and then, for whatever reason, you are unable to attend.. then instead of being lost to the warp, your money will instead be transferred to Store Credit.
Also for those of you without a Paypal account, you can go to Thou Shalt Game on any day prior to 2/8 and pay in advance that way as well. Actually, we would rather prefer it

It also has been brought to my attention that the cost for this "RTT" at $35/$45 is a little prohibitive for such a small event and while I agree that the cost is higher than what players might consider "normal". I would argue that you are not likely going to find prize support for an event like this.... for cheaper than this.. and assuming that separate individuals win each possible award, almost HALF the people that attend will win something... I'm pretty sure I've never seen that in a tournament... ever
I am very interested in hearing any feedback anyone has in regard to ticket prices vs. prize support... Thou Shalt Game would like to become the "Go-To" venue for small scale tournaments, so we need to know what is working and what isn't. Our last 2 Events; the Inaugural "Midnight Madness" & our "Toys 4 Tots" Showdown both had very strong turn-outs and we would like this trend to continue..

As far as the kind of competition you'll be facing down at Midnight.. here is a "tentative" list of those that will be attending.

Greetings everyone, this event is now less than 2 weeks away.

Do models that are spawned need to be fully painted? since they are not part of the 1750 army list?

Will you do name engraving for the last event?

@Azgrim - Models that are spawned will NOT need to be painted to be considered for painting awards... only your original printed 1750 list... though if you had 100+ Gaunts all painted for your Tyranid army... that effort may attract extra attention from the judges... just sayin

@Dave - I do believe that Jesse, the Store Owner, is making the engraving retroactive to incorporate the winner of the inaugural event.. though I forget his name, I will have to go back and check my records

Well my entire army and display board is finally painted. And the tale of terrain I promised is almost finished. Just one more small building to paint up. The orks are ready for some head krump'n. Cant wait,

Unfortunately, the TSG FAQ will not be available in time for this Event, that piece of the required items can be ignored.

In missions where your fast and/or heavy score, does that only apply to that mission objective or to both? IE can heavies/fast take the relic or emperor's will?

I was going to address that on game day but since you beat me to it.... In your example above, Fast and Heavy Support choices can score objectives in their particular mission only... so NO your Heavy Support choices can NOT pick up the Relic and run away with it and your Fast Attack choices can NOT score an Emperor's Will objective.

In a similar vein, if your Warlord becomes a scoring unit via "Immovable Object" or has the potential to earn extra VP via "Legendary Fighter", those would apply ONLY to the primary mission.

IMO that's the best way to rule it since having a land raider turbo boosting away with the relic is pretty funny and annoying , depending on if you have the land raider or not .

I've had numerous people ask me about fielding their scratch-built or converted fortifications.. so I will say this about it, if you wish to bring your particular fortification, you MUST have it pre-approved by the judges prior to the beginning of the tournament. Your fortification MUST have the same footprint as its GW counterpart (H/W/L/Weapons/etc..) and be modeled in the "same vein" as the GW version. I will NOT allow any fortification where there is any HINT of modelling for advantage. If your fortification is deemed unworthy, be prepared to field the original GW version or a different list where it is not included at all. Feel free to post here or msg me if you have questions. I will not pre-approve fortifications via pictures or other media.. I want to see it up close and get my grubby hands on it first

@Dok - The painting requirement is strictly for the Painting Awards. Though we encourage players to bring fully painted armies, it is not a requirement for participation in the tournament.
