On Nimbosa, cramming as many guardsmen into troop carriers as possible.

Is the phr overplayed? They were my first choice in army, my second choice would be the ucm.

YES. Half the small number of players in two different local groups are PHR. It's kind of odd, I figured the UCM would be the space marines of this game.

Phr just looked to cool to be unpopular I guess. Every person that I showed dzc to immediately went for the phr.

Ucm it is then!

PHR and UCM are the most played factions. With the Scourge being the least played. If I were to start another faction I'd probably have to go with Shiatari.

I play scourge and love them. If I chose another faction I think it would have to be shaltari. Nearly nobody plays them around here.

I have the PHR and Shaltari starter sets. I will get them all eventually, though.

I wanted to get the Scourge but their vehicles are so hit or miss to me. The final decision for not getting them was because of the drop ships. I just hate their drop ship design. The UCM tanks are what did it for me for them. I don’t really like the pop up turret design.
There was nothing I didn’t like from PHR and the Shaltari striders are awesome. But I got all my stuff on preorder before everything came out so it was all 100% looks.

Lots and lots and lots.

''round these parts we have 1 Shaltari Player, a fellow who has UCM and Scourge (though he considers himself a Scourge player), 2 PHR, and a guy who may be buying into UCM.
As long as your entire group is not all PHR all the time, play what you want.

I am thinking that after I am done building up my PHR I'm going to start up Shaltari.

I'm fairly new to dropzone commander, only had a few games, and last week my phr opponent had added the commander to his list. Basically has a 3++. They might be slow, but with a beast like that no wonder they're the go to! Saying that I'm in the same club as welsh_furey, there's basically one each of the factions.

Adrift within the vortex of my imagination.

I have 3k UCM and Shaltari. Next up is Scourge.

While I like the PHR miniatures I don't like the army list, its very poorly internally balanced, most players stick with one or two or the walker choices, the Odin and Phobos, the rest dont get to see table time.

UCM is my favourite anyway.

n'oublie jamais - It appears I now have to highlight this again.

It is by tea alone I set my mind in motion. By the juice of the brew my thoughts aquire speed, my mind becomes strained, the strain becomes a warning. It is by tea alone I set my mind in motion.

The Post Human Republic tends to be the most popular of the factions (I assume) due to the clean and advanced futuristic aesthetic in addition to having walkers. I would hardly call them overplayed, however. Just note that the PHR are perhaps the force that requires the greatest amount of foresight to play as they are exceptionally slow and need to make every move count. Although I must admit that I am curious to see if the more maneuverable Type-3 walkers will shake things up a bit.

Im not sure on this really, i am just planning on starting and i have selected the PHR. This is mainly because i do love mechs but also because i do love the models. The dropships in particular are far more practical than the flying twigs of the the USMC and dont look like there going to flip out of the sky like the scourges flying CD stacks and well mechs........ do i really have to say anymore?

As far as i know the other players at my club play Scourge, Shaltari and USMC but there may be another PHR player. I am planning on a USMC army after this one and a Scourge one after that.

I've got the PHR and Shaltari. I just paint really although I'll admit I've seen quite a few PHR people online. I don't think I could ever get Scourge as I just find their dropships so goofy looking when they don't have vehicles mounted in them.

I'd have gone for the Scourge, but the dropships looked a bit rubbish.
