You gave too few bodies, I would say. Remove the Trygon primes, and invest is more bodies. You have lots of threats, but those threats are in singlular bodies. Take away those warriors, and invest in Hormagaunts, Termagants, or even another Tervigon. Remember, all those upgrades will do nothing if your model dies from a round of fire.

"There is a cancer eating at the Imperium. With each decade it advances deeper, leaving drained, dead worlds in its wake. This horror, this abomination, has thought and purpose that functions on an unimaginable, galactic scale and all we can do is try to stop the swarms of bioengineered monsters it unleashes upon us by instinct. We have given the horror a name to salve our fears; we call it the Tyranid race, but if is aware of us at all it must know us only as Prey."

What is a decent model count to shoot for?
This list has only 41 models and 87 wounds

Any thoughts about this list?

Well as a general if you want it to be competitive, you need a second tyrant to deal with multiple flyers, and I wouldn't leave home with out a second tervigon, the raveners and warriors will be hurt by str 8+, maybe run the warriors in the pods with devourers get some heavy back field fire into them enemy this way they don't have to foot slog up the field. I have a lot of success running two squads of biovores, and a single prime. With the prime, doom, ymgarls and the warriors in the pod you will be putting your opponent between a rock and a hard place. Which is a good thing for you, as he has two options, ignore your foot sluggers and deal with the immediate threats, which he will probably do, which should allow you to spawn more gangs and eventually over whelm him. Or do the opposite, and lose very badly.

I like the 6 pack of Ravenors, they can get in to mess of things very quick, and can DS in to cover. Equipped with the Deathspitter they can even pre-pop some light transports. I have noticed Ravenors (and Shrikes) are surviving much better in this edition.

Here is what I am thinking.
HQ
The Flyrant is fantastic but he doesn't need LW and BS. He will want to fly as much as possible shooting every chance he gets. Therefore, get 2 pairs of Devourers. 12 S6 shots with reroll misses is very nice and he can pop flyers with that. At 2000 pts though I usually run a pair of them. Leaving HC at home as I need all the points I can.
Elites
Nothing wrong there, looks good and have a fun variety
Troops
Tervigon, crushing claws are so pricey and usually not worth while. Drop them as mentioned. 3 warriors are pretty useless and can beinstagibbed very easily. They are a big point sink in your list IMO. Drop them for another tervigon.
Fast
If you like ravenors go for it. They are cool models and pretty good. Gargoyles are better from a competitive standpoint but that's about it.
Heavy
Primes, you have 80 pts invested in this which really doesn't offer too much in terms of killing power. I'd drop them and give the basic trygons TS. Biovores are cool. Go for it.

This is all my opinion so I hope it helps. Don't let anyone tell you what you can and cannot run. It's your list so learn all the units and make decisions on actual game play not typical net list builders.

If I made only one change to this list it would be to get another flyrant in there or at the very least another tervigon. They are great at getting objectives and boosting termagaunts. They are supper tough to kill with Iron Arm too.
Nids are hands down my favourite army to play.

I love the mid size bug that why the raveners are in the list. Gargoyles are ran by everyone else in the area and i want to be diffrent. They never worked for me anyways.

running a secound tervigon is a option i can easly set up.
hate to lose the warriors as i use them for back field sysnapps.

I don't have a bing need for AA so I was running just one flyrat with bone and lash cause that is how it is modeled.

If i drop the primes and the gun's off the raveners I can afford the tervigon and the gaunts. this takes away from my shooting when I deepstrike which I dislike.

I worked on the list and think this could be a better way to go. C&C welcomedon this new list.

Only really issue I see in list 2 is the 3 pack of warriors. I am just not sure 3 is going to have the staying power you need to make them useful.

You could drop the second trygon and beef the warrior brood up with Boneswords, more bodies and barbed strangler for solid outflanking unit since you like the mid sized bugs.

Thanks for the C&C.
The three warriors are for back field syn. They are sitting on a objective out of site in 4+ cover. They can be hard to kill.

bonesword warriors whould be nice but are a fire magnet.

These guy are to hold home base whiel the tervigons go after other objectives and the like.

In that case, are you sure you want to upgrade the gun or take rending claws? Regardless of if you shoot them or not you know there are going to try and close to assault.
