Found this Indiegogo, thought to myself "hey this looks REALLY familiar"
And of course its from Russia. So more than likely this is a recast with parts swapped around. Unless I am horribly biased and making assumptions of course. And at $85 a pop this makes GW looks cheap! Though I do get the feeling you will get a product if you pledge, however quality wise will most likely be a funny thing
They even painted it in the same frigging colors as Leviathan

The only thing I'm shocked by is the pricing...I'm pretty familiar with "Vlad" on ebay and his stuff (generally seems like a recast) is always super cheap

Huh even with shipping thats only a measly $62
So this indiegogo is a ripoff too! (unless of course someone else bids on that, and then some silly person bids $80 or something...)

Does seem strange that hes only charging 50 bucks for a painted version and 85 for a brand new unpainted, but I guess the cost for casting might be included in the 85

That's an auction, not Buy it Now. The starting bid is $50. The idea with auctions on eBay is that they go for more than their initial asking bid.

That's right.
This model is an original sculpt by said Vladimir, about 2 years old, before GW released a Tervigon model, and not at all looking like the GW concept. I prefer it to the GW model and can recommend it wholeheartedly.
BTW I bought two for 105$ each plus postage IIRC and don't regret it. The resin cast is excellent, better than FW.

This model was a limited release more than two years ago. Hasn't been available since then. The original mould has worn out. The sculptor Vladimir now offers a second run, if there is enough interest in this Indiegogo campaign. So if there is interest in at least 36 models, a new mould for a second run will be made. That's what this campaign is about.
BTW here two pics of the greens to prove that it is not a GW recast (the Termagant in front is for demonstration only and not part of the model):

Would be a nice alternative for an HQ Tervigon. You could use the GW version for the Troops choice and this one as the HQ choice. I'd buy one if I still played Tyranids.

Hmm not sure if this is bump worthy but only 52 hours left And not a single pledge Guess no one is interested in this That or the fact for some reason this campaign is impossible to find. I have literally gone up and down the gaming tab (which is what it says it is in) and have used the search bar both using its location (russia) and its title, this cannot be found. That is weird. Yet the link I have posted works fine

I'm guessing many interested parties can easily see this one getting C&D'd into oblivion, along with their pledge money...

Why should it? It is an original sculpt, sold it for 2 years and has nothing to do with the GW Tervigon concept.
GW might think, it has invented SciFi, but it hasn't.

Probably because it's noticeably more expensive than the GW substitute model?
Also, it's available for purchase on eBay, it seems:

1) Looks like a recast (Even the OP thought so)
2) $85 minimum pledge. This on its own would have been enough to kill off the campaign
3) Very, very limited posing
4) this one's subjective, but I think the damn thing's ugly as sin, and I like tyranids generally

Looks great. And I thought it had GW parts in it as well. So that speaks to the sculpting quality.
However, an $85 minimum is bonkers. I got a DreamForge Leviathan in PLASTIC for $89!

I paid over 120$ plus shipping (when there were no other Tervigon models around), you get it for 2/3 the price. And pledging for half a model doesn't make sense.
In the end it all depends on whether you like this model or not, like it more than the official model or not.

If I went with any non-GW Tervigon, it'd be the Hydracast model. Which is utterly fantastic, if expensive.

Kroot, sometimes I think you missed your true calling. You would have been a credit to any of the major intellegence agencies, CIA, MI6, (whatever other countries have in the way of spy agencies), you name it, you could be the head director in a month.
