Now those are just Gold and Silver rebooted in much the same way as Fire Red right? If so im totally down, other than the originals Silver was my Favorite of them all

Well, aside from having a few different elite 4 members, the story line of HG/SS is practically the same a G/S.
From Bulbapedia: The plot of Pokémon HeartGold and SoulSilver is mostly the same as Gold and Silver with a few changes and included plot elements exclusive to Pokémon Crystal.

Yeah, Heartgold and Soulsilver were, in my opiniom, the most refined entries to the series. You know why?
Ambient noise. That is all.
Also, Newmew is a Forme of Mewtwo rather than a seperate Pokèmon.

I would say because it represented all of the fantastic mechanics that D/P/Pl brought into play, while sticking with 1-4th gen pokemon and using the world of G/S/Sp, which was one of the more expansive and interesting ones, despite its balance issues.

When Mewtwo's head goes so far up his ass that his tail starts coming out of the other side, he changes form to become... NEWMEW!
OT: I've been playing Fire Red and... Since when were there Pickachu's in Viridian Forest?! Have they always been there? I swore i never found one there as a kid. If I had I would have assembled an army of them
On Topic: I'm not really feeling the NEWMEW. It just looks like someone bored doodle of Mewtwo slipped into the real production line

Yep, they've always been there. Pretty rare too, I once spent hours in there looking for one.

@fafnir: You just reminded me about those balence issues. G/s were awful for that. Jasmine being so much more powerful than Pryce, for starters. And all of the level 17s around Mahogany Town...

I nabbed one just today, actually. Only my second time playing Red, managed to get him with a Poke Ball without attacking him at all. But then he was only level 3.
Oh, and may I recommend picking Squirtle as your starter Pokemon? The first gym is SOOOOOO much easier with him, and he's pretty beastly in his own right.

Sylveon is in a pink round object at the end of that, with a wing motif. I say Flying-type.
