Yup, a gloss coat followed by a dullcoat is pretty durable.

That, and I wouldn't paint over the primer they come primed in. I still primed mine with my regular old primer.

A couple questions about your rust weathering. Was that done with sponge stippling and what colors did you use? I've been using Skrag Brown but I'm having a hard time getting it to look natural like that.

Most of the weathering was done with a torn piece of blister foam.
The colors I used were scorched brown( dont know the new equivalent)
And I used the "rust" MIG Pigment(with some water added) for the lighter orange color.
