So dakka what is your ideal match that you want to play? or a match that you really would like to play

For me i really really want to play a game of planet strike with me defending as space marines fighting a crap ton of nids. like a 3-4k game, I always have loved attack and defend games and i love to defend more then attack. To me its fun to blast wave after wave of a seemingly endless tide of xenos, kinda like the scene from starship troopers lol.

so whats yours?

I just want to play.

Going on 2 years and not a dice thrown.

On topic, I'd love to do a full campaign with BFG and apocalypse battles and regular 40k. Just a massive campaign with some awesome people. And beer. Lots of beer.

Beer.

i have always wondered if oyu can do a full campaign like that have like ship to ship war fair, make it so you can board an enemy ship and then need to play a 40k game inside the ship interior while the battle still goes on out side. so much epicness

The beauty of wargaming is that you can do whatever you want. As long as you're playing with the right people who are all sane, reasonable and sociable human beings who are looking for fun with the right edge of competitiveness, you can create your own campaign, with your own rules. You can have reinforcements and special abilities based on planets you own, or experience you gather during the campaign, or collecting parts of your fallen enemies army, anything you want.

Plus it gets people into spaceship gaming, which is the best kind of gaming.

I'm keen to get on the tournament scene again. Although I rarely have the time for friendlies any more.

Star Trek taught me so much. Like, how you should accept people, whether they be black, white, Klingon or even female...

I've never gotten an Apocolypse fight in, and now that my army is trending towards being able to do it, I'd like to find one. A new New Year's Resolution, if you will.

A narrative campaign, like the one featured in the BRB. Y'know, the one with... the Ultrasmurfs saving everyone...

Except just have a tactical squad of salamanders holding off Chaos Unidivided. Perfectly realistic.

By bolter and honour, by blood and fire, we shall cleanse this galaxy. By Vulkan, and by the Emperor, CHARGE!

Yo Dawgs, I heard you like grimdark, so I put grimdark in yo grimdark in yo grimdark in yo universe that is obviously grimdark.
