Haven't seen it yet, but if it fails to utilize Superman's in-canon super weaving and landscaping powers, then Im not interested.

Or more precisely, why did I watch it? 15 minutes of two annoying blokes talking then a gakky animation (with even worse voicing) after which there is more annoying talking...

Ugh...Superman should be winning this fight. I never understood the allure of DBZ: it was ridiculous and OTT, in all the wrong ways. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy some anime: Cowboy Bebop, Trigun, GitS, and even the Street Fighter anime amused me. But DBZ...yuck. Had no appeal. I didn't like Superman much either for a while, but eventually he grew on me, in no small part due to the Justice League video game by Snowblind Studios, and the Justice League/Superman cartoons. The game really showed him to not be a boyscout, and he kicked arse. Goku, though, left me scratching my head, wondering how people could find him and his show entertaining. And yes, I have seen multiple episodes of DBZ. Still hate it, and I was watching it with buddies in HS and college who loved it. No thanks.

I guess I'm the only person here who has any respect for Goku

But I had my money on Supes the entire time

Goku's story is that he is trying to overcome his limits, where as Superman is trying to find his.

Anyways you guys should actually check out the voice actors for goku and superman, they do some fun work.

I didn't watch it. I'm hoping someone thought to bring up Superman's whole weakness to magic and whether that applies to Goku's energy blasts and whatnot. I'd argue that his abilities are semi-magical, and could stand to have some effect on Superman. Then again, I haven't watched DBZ since high school and haven't bothered reading Superman since DC's godawful relaunch and therefore don't have much of a stake in any of it.

Goku could easily destroy the sun, rendering Superman powerless.

He could then wish the sun back with the Dragonballs after defeating the Man of Steel. This video is poppycock!

They make a point of noting that Goku's ki powers are strictly not magical. Although his power pole is.
