Collecting Forge World 30k????? If you prefix any Thread Subject line on 30k or Pre-heresy or Horus Heresy with [30K] we can convince LEGO and the Admin team to create a 30K mini board if we can show there is enough interest!

Is the Canadian Armoured Vet or still trained?

Just wondering. Because if not, I'll just stick with my D-Day book and if they are, I'll defiantly be looking into buying the thing and splitting the German stuff with a mate.

The CT Tiger list is supposed to represent a training unit that was located in the area and pushed into front line service to fight off the allied attack. Lack of Tiger Ace skills is because the crews are green, unreliable ness and lack of wide track because they were older production models pulled from frontline service due to damage and maintenance issues, etc.

iirc they're from the tiger training school, so the tanks are not top line, and the crew not the best

Canadian Lists look great in "Market Garden", if you like your Canadians I would buy this book.

The 1st Canadian Army in the Scheldt part of the book mainly Confident Veterans (Awesome!) except the 52nd LOWLAND DIVISION Infantry lists these are CONF/ TRAINED, but all of the infantry lists have a Mirror List which is CONF/VET so you get some real options.

You also get the crazy Mattress Rocket Launcher (It's not what it sounds like) it's a bit quirky but each one in a platoon of 4, counts as four when firing a bombardment. e.g 4 = 16....Crazy times.

That actually looks awesome for CONF / VET reminds me of my LEHR who are CONF-VET, but you have the edge in Rocket Arty as the Pzrwrf Maultier 42 costs a fortune and the Land Mattress are going to be brutal. The woodsman rule is useful, and you having 4 Firefly's is not to be scoffed at either.

All round the Canadian Lists, will be a tough prospect for any German Player. I'm also quite taken with the Cromwell Price Changes for the Guards Armoured, and also the 11th Armoured lot's of nice options, and some fun lists, Inns of Court looks like a bit of bugger to play but if used right could be awesome.

The bit I like is the cautious movement and eyes and ears!

In theory for my above list, all the vehicles if manoeuvres correctly will not be able to be hit at over 16 (+4 vet, +1 concealed, +1 GtG while moving! +1 over 16 inches)

Then depending on the situation the unneeded tanks go up to 16 lift GtG and the others fire using SiF but still requiring 6's to be hit

pg 118 is interesting....

MOTOR COMPANY it gets the option of Two Support Platoons of Armour.

e.g I could run 8 x M10C....okay it's 740points but the rest of the list, is cheap.. that will put the wind up any German Schwere list.

Confident Vets with lots of high AT and still the numbers of Infantry to hold and assault. I'm quite taken with this list.

I was thumbing through Bridge by Bridge last night and I think there are some very interesting lists in there.

The Ersatz-FJ looked pretty nice and I will probably give them a try.

Cheap Tiger E's, although I imagine only having them be CT and facing lots of AT-15 17pds are probably a reason for that.

Lots of variety and an ability to field what looks like a decent StuG list:

Schwere Panzerjager

Compulsory Schwere Panzerjagerkompanier HQ - 1x CinC Jagdpanther (235 pts) CV

Compulsory Schwere Panzerjager Platoon - 1x Command StuG G, 3x StuG G (380 pts) CV

Compulsory Schwere Panzerjager Platoon - 1x Command Jagdpanther, 1x Jagdpanther (470 pts) CV

Panzerjager Anti-Aircraft Gun Platoon - 1x Command Wirbelwind (Quad 2cm), 1x Wirbelwind (Quad 2cm) (110 pts) CV

Fallschirmjager Platoon - 1x Command Panzerfaust SMG, 9x Rifle/MG (275 pts) FV

Fallschirmjager Platoon - 1x Command Rifle/MG, 6x Rifle/MG (185 pts) FV

Fallschirmjager Mortar Platoon - 1x Command SMG, 2x Observer Rifle, 4x 8cm GW42 (Stummelwerfer) Mortar (120 pts) FV

1775 Points, 6 Platoons

I've really like that list too!

I'm thinking
Hq 2 Stug
Platoon 4 Stug (nice big tank platoon)
Platoon 3 Jagdpanthers
2 whirblwind
Grenadier platoon (CV) with schrek
Security platoon
Grenadier mortars (2 sections)
