If anyone's like me, they might have a RW force sitting around ready to be updated.

Mine held up pretty well, $40 and 9 DV bikes later, my 3K RW force is updated, legal, lean, and ready.

I used the following bits to update my bikes to Corvus Hammers (tourney legal and cheap)

I then bought a few plasma pistols and plasma rifles off of bit sites/ebay (actually saw this one coming in 5th edition's waning days and got ahead of the plasma bit price hike).

I cut the pistols off the arms and used those for plasma talons. The hands/arms get the corvus hammers added to them, swap an old shoulder pad onto a newly painted arm (still finishing that part up), and there you go, for about $2 a model, 15 of my old Ravenwings/DV Ravenwings became RW BKs.

No argument here. But a full squad, with an allied StormTalon and a bike Chaplain, outflanking, is too good to pass up.

I plan on running the 4 shot salvo banner with my conga line of ravenwing bikes 12 x 4 relentless tl Bolter shots, +2 attack bikes, seems like horde might be less of a daunting task for bike users now

Ditto. I set up 3 squads of 6 with a RW CS and the front squad is little tight, but it still works. That's 18x2/4 TL shots at a target. That should hurt. 72 optimal shots, yields 24 misses, 16 of which hit on the reroll... So 64 hits. That's 32 saves for even a TDA force. Only gets better against weaker foes. I've always liked LS and AB splitting off too.

Back to the knights, 20 TL plasma shots and 30 S5 rending attacks can make back points pretty well too. I'm hoping that there's some sort of character that can improve their save or give them FC. With a small boost they can really shine.

Instead of paying $10 a model for RW BK, I wanted to convert what I already had.
