Cought in a discussion with my friends, while building the shiny Storm Eagle.

According to rules it fits 20 models, i.e. 10 terminators which is awesome!

But then the question arose, if I fit in a 10 of devastators into it, can I throw in an additional 10 of vanguards into it? Basically two separate squads.

We are unsure, since usually you designate a vehicle to a specific squad, but here the capacity is 20, which could mean 2 squads. We don't know of any rule against it.

Any clarity on this?

Thx for reply and clarification. Also if you have page reference and book.

One squad per vehicle only unless the rules specifically state otherwise, regardless of the vehicle's transport capacity.

Really the only point of the 20 model capacity is you can fit 10 terminators in it, or a full 10 man squad of something else and some ICs. It doesn't get you 2 units.

Battle brothers can't hop in transports. From memory GKs techies are elites so at 2k they could manage it.

or .... a 30 man squad of DC ... Psyco's would be hanging on the wings, fuselage, and landing gear ....

Black Templars Helbrecht Command Squad + neophytes with Grimaldus and Retinue. (They all have to take furious charge as per Helbrecht's rule, quite a nasty unit to charge out into multi-assaults in 5th especially with a kitted out command squad with specialists).

If the Blood Angels can take a Storm Eagle then they can have 10 IC's ride along (1 Librarian IC and 9 Sanguinary priests which are IC's. 3 priests per elite slot).

Chaos can also take a Storm Eagle, and they have plenty of units that can get up to 20.

Blood claws can go to 15 for wolves...Not that anyone would want 15 BC's in a storm eagle.
Or I might. With Arjac Rockfist and a wolf priest for re-rolls. And maybe Lucas.

Or 10 grey hunters and 8 attach IC's - wolves = 4 hq's per FOC.
so 2 x FOC = good times.
And the storm eagle would be the biggest bullet magnet ever seen.

Its because ordinance is still a word.
However, firing ordinance at someone isn't nearly as threatening as firing ordnance at someone.
Ordinance is a local law, or bill, or other form of legislation.
Ordnance is high caliber explosives.
No 'I' in ordnance.
Don't drown the enemy in legislation, drown them in explosives.

For the purpose of Apocalypse games, can't you cram more than one squad in a transport? Apoc rules are a bit more loose I figured.
