cool....that door way is as middle earthas you can go... very iconic look dave...and you...er...nailed it...  straight away^^
and for the removable roof... i think if you could use stuff from the DIY section of your hardware store... air conditioning stuff and so on you get some nice big sized white plastic stuff you could probably use as a construction start...

hey dave ... amazing work so far... and currently you don´t use any pre made stuff at all...that gets you some extra points in my view too
as for the air conditioning stuff... well in my hardware store i found lots of white plastic stuff... round lids and such things that might be of help for such a removable ceiling/roof for young bilbos home... but of course you are already showing that said roof is only mere minutes away from being created by you with the just plain PC ... so...i think i watch some more in awe ^^

I wouldn't have noticed if you hadn't pointed it out, and you must really be nitpicking to criticize that... depends how OCD you are about your projects (which seems quite a lot, based on your necromunda stuff- that could only be the work of a perfectionist)

Heh, I thought a good long while about it, but in the end, the round window had leading in too many complicated patterns, so I just used Grandt line windows from those grab bags I picked up awhile back.

Nope, no tubing, but yes, sheets of PC. I'm going to try duplicating and spamming the curved side beams, see if that will work.

hey dave... for this build... i suggest later on to get yourself one of these diagnosis cameras... swat teams and your friendly neighberhood garage uses these to have a look into tiny tight corners...
at first i was confused by the colors... then i read on and understood...

It's on my list! I just haven't had time or a car to get to the cinema! I hope i can watch before it finishes locally, otherwise I am going to have to buy myself a new Plasma T.V perhaps a nice 60inch I've had my eye on........
...... actually I hope i miss it now lol, then i can get the dvd and just imerse myself into the world again like I did for the LoTR

No see it at the cinema it is one of those films you need to see it big and you 60 inches just wont do, where have I heard that before no wait that was 6 inches need a bigger spanner 
Dave to be honest I was not sold on your new venture  I know I hang my head in shame however once agin your eye for detail has me gripped again.
However will you stop using new stuff as I just cant afford to buy anything else  every time you say just got this and hey presto what a dam cool idea 
I have spent hours looking at Grandt stuff on ebay  no no no more …..
The hobbit house is taking shape nicely and looking pretty dam spot on, however I do feel you should be an original version of one league inspired o course

he is also building this one as an interior building... fully equiped i gather... so what you see is the inside shaping up... and shaping up very well!!!
