Not where I should be

Fantastic looking building, bit too "whole" for my taste. Lol.

Does it have access to the interior, does it have an interior, do you want access?

Regardless it is a very nice kit, and great on scale.

I made a special trip to the train shop yesterday to see if there were bargains to be had. Sadly they were priced more like GW. They did have some train box cars for $10 each with working sliding doors......

Nice! - Yeah, O scale is not the most common scale, that's why I didnt want to miss the Train Show as it came through town. I don't even think the big train store in town even deals in that scale anymore. Its big with the Lionel Trains enthusiasts.

Yeah the huy looked at me like I was stupid when I asked for O-scale. Then I told him what I was going to do with it........You think if anyone would be enthusiastic about scratch builders it would be train guys. Next time I think I'll wear a conductor hat when I go in and blow my kids toy train whistle the entire time .

As far as My hobby shop is concerned, I'm a model railroader with all the styrene I buy

No, they just have no idea what gaming is, let alone what terrain is used for. I tried telling the truth before...they looked at me EXACTLY the way they looked at theo

Apparently, you need to ask for O Gauge - I dunno

Beyond the Beltway

Model Railroading. Even more niche than TTG gaming. It's a dying hobby.

The building would be more interesting if you kept it intact. Plus, challenge yourself. Ruins are scratch-builders' 'easy' mode.

Love the building work as always, Dave. Those 0 scale buildings look more like they were designed at a scale for the necro figs than most of the GW stuff ever did. Looking forward to seeing what you do with it!

@Red- very true

, but for gaming purposes, an intact building is just a big LOS blocker. but I'll disagree, a ruin forces the modeler to detail the inside too = MORE work

@Scarper- yeah, I've been thinking that too, and that is making me look at kits, and that is making me see the scarcity of them...

Not where I should be

Now a real challenge would be a building that appears whole, but can be taken apart to look ruined, in game. Think I might have to have a go, did a ruin like it a while ago, mmm.

As for this, just great seeing you back at it, I have looked at the O scale stuff before, but did not realise it was so perfectly scaled for this. Tends to be expensive is the only thing that has put me off in the past.

It always amazes me the snobbery that developes in society, does not matter where in life, we are the modelling worlds black sheep, military modellers, railroaders all scoff at our silly nonsense, but when you see the majority of work here on Dakka, it is art, wonderful works of art, and even amongst ourselves there is snobbery, I am an ork scratch builder and proud of it, keep your silly Spesh Morons, silly world we live in.

There's all kinds of heresy in your post, Theo'. Good thing I'm a modeller, with an army of heresy, and not a GW space marine uber-fan, or I'd be screaming all kinds of murder about something that doesn't really matter about now.

Just to interject a bit, Dave, what have you used for the filter in your airbrush fumehood? I'm looking at making my own.

@Dr. H - I'm just using the charcoal filter it ships with. If I were to ever play around with laquers, I'd need to switch to a hepa filter and pipe the exhaust outside.

Dakka posted the dumbest thread to facebook yesterday - A Spice Muhreen player, bragging about how he usually always wins, but he played the Guard, and their Stormsword hurt his widdle feewings He advocated GW banning the tank from the game.....it was so....stereotypical
