Hey there, Dakka.

Since I'm not doing a DA army because of the prices, I wanted to conversion the minis.

I was making a count as Lysander for my Deathwatch army out of this model, made a SS from some pieces (still need the greenstuff finishing), and though about putting the shield over the powerfist, without wiping it and giving him a "normal" hand.

Good idea, or worst idea ever?

I think that is an interesting way to make a storm shield. the look of it is very heavy and industrial like it actually has technology in it iand isn't just a big slab of metal.

I'm not sure what you mean about your intentions towards to powerfist but I think it will work ok connected to the powerfist.

I think all the shields (combat and storm) are standardized for a regular sized power armor hand. for a special character, like Lysander he would get custom issue or specail wargear. It can work, but i would repose the powerfist arm so its angled out more so the shield wont be hanging behind him. also the shield needs to be pretty big, maybe sculpt greenstuff clamps instead of a handle, so it clamps onto the forearm of the powerfist.

I was thinking about making the shield a big inquisition symbol.

Also, I'm gona make a variant, I got the main plate from a stormraven "leg", and I've another. With a big skull or something, but with the idea of the inquisition symbol as a shield.

I like the shield and the hammer behind, as "come at me bro" pose.

The chainsword shield...amazing. I am stealing it

I am turning my DV set DA's into black templars, and the librarian will become my Sword Brethren sergeant. I wanted to add a combat shield to his pointing arm and now I know how I want to do it....with chainsword. Thanks

I'm gonna buy some little chains from a shop here to add around the fist and the shield, that's very templarish, you could do it too.

Changed the hammer, it was pretty bad.

Need a lil bit more greenstuff, and ready to paint.

This is how my count as Lysander is doing.

Feedback welcome!

I like to call it the ULTIMATE HAMMERNATOR FROM THE FUTURE, as he have parts of Blood Ravens (the eagle), DA, SW, Count as Lysander (Imperial Fists), MegaNob plate (the shield).

Despite all the hate you were getting on /tg/ I still think this is a pretty damn good model. I'm a little iffy on the wolf hammer to be honest, not the conversion work or paint just it doesn't seem to fit theme wise. Also there are a few spots that need to be touched up paint wise,(Right arm, left side of torso and right leg) But otherwise top notch man.

Awesome work. I really like the idea of having a chain-blade atachment on the storm shield. That is uber-cool. I've always imagined that Terminators hit people with their storm shields and this fits that very well.

Heh.

The right arm is magnetized, I do think that the hammer is "small", but I didn't have another one. I'll change it when I can, as well as the shoulderpads.

Well, I decided to change the shoulder and hammer, I think now it looks better.

Definately like that hammer better than the space wolves thunder hammer. Overall I think your model looks great and the conversions were done well.
