The line of the Death Ray originates to left of the Orks standing behind the ADL and passes through ten of them.

Do the Orks get a cover save in this situation?

Are the Orks 25% obscured from the Doom Scythe?

With respect to the gun barrel of the Death Ray or its originating point?

The cover is on a model to model basis, so you have to look at each model from the viewpoint of barrel of the death ray. Any models that are obscured by the ADL by at least 25% will get a cover save.

Any models that are not 25% obscured do not get the save.

With the scythe being a high up as it is, it probably wouldn't be hard to see completely over the ADL denying any cover saves at all.
