I was looking at
this thread, and it brings to mind a different issue with the specialty
40K source book costs. For instance, I like the look of the Ork Kill Krusha Tank. How do I find out it's capabilities? Once I find out what book it is in, I buy the book, and then find out it is an Apocalypse Super Heavy vehicle that sucks, and no other entries in the source book interest me. 75 bucks for 100 sheets of waxy toilet paper. I don't like to gamble with my money like that.
I personally don't mind the price of the
GW Rulebook and Codices. If their product wasn't worth buying, then people wouldn't pay these prices for them. I just don't like not being able to check out the shrink wrapped Imperial Armour and Forge World type books before I drop that much money on them. Most of the Army Codices are not shrink wrapped and can be perused before purchase, or even owned by fellow players. Other than the hit or miss option of asking here (in which case elitists flag you for asking for rules info), how does one find out what the books contain what
FOC and Model entries? Indices, tables of contents, lists of unit entries, etc? Am I just missing something on the
Forge World website?
