I was recently wondering about the diversity of different warcasters/locks being used.

So in general i was wondering what caster do you use?


I use pDeneghra as my main caster-i find she is easy to use and has an amazingly diverse array of spells.

I also have the Coven although these are more of a modelling project they still make a nice alternative and provide a challenge for me.


So who/what do you use?

Everblight: Thagrosh

I just love his model.

Skorne: Xerxis and Rasheth

The great beater of faces and Super Kami Guru.

Menoth: Reznik, pSeverus and Kreoss.

Reznik has earned the ire of many of my friends. Sevy is just amazing support. pKreoss has great pressure and support while eKreoss makes the entire army disgustingly devastating for a turn.

Cygnar: eHaley and eCaine, with an eye to buy pKraye at some point and another caster (either Sloan or Darius)

Trollbloods: pMadrak, planning on picking up eMadrak, pGrim and (eventually) eGrim well down the track

me too, both Primal and Epic are awesome. unfortunately it's usually on the other side, beating my stuff... ^_^;

as for me:
Orboros: Kaya, trying in these days the Epic one.
Cryx: mainly Asphyxious with only troops (and just a couple of nodes)
used a lot the Witch Coven back in the days of first edition and actually assembling a more jack oriented force for Epic Skarre.

Psevvy, eFeora, Harbinger, but i own every caster except 3 in the faction and play them now and then.

Khador: Irusk, eIrusk, Strakhov, Old Witch, Butcher, eButcher, and occassionally sorscha, eSorscha, and eVlad. Im not sold on Vlad1, and Vlad3 is sitting on my desk waiting to be painted.

Circle: Kromac the most killy and awesome, krueger, ekrueger, and occassionally Kaya. Gonna get eKaya soon though.

Kromac is all kinds of awesome, whether in man-mode, or beast-mode.

In man-mode, he's one of the best, most versatile support casters out there. Warpath opens up great non-linear threat vectors, and increases our already impressive threat ranges. Inviolable resolve. +2 arm. useful on beasts or heavy infantry. take your skinwalkers. ARM20 in melee. WIld aggression. auto-boosed melee attacks, and a free charge? brilliant. bestial. shuts down magic users almost completely. and it makes cryx weep tears of blood.

then you've got beast mode, with a MAT 8 bullet that moves 6, jumps an extra 5, and then sticks the axes out an extra 2. and with 2 initial attacks, and 14 fury worth (feat...) of extra attacks, and boosts, he can take out pretty much any caster in the game, with few exceptions (camping butcher/terminus etc)

With protectorate...I own everyone but Thyra and pFeora, but play pSev, Harby, Kreoss2, and Feora2 the most

With skorne-I play pMorg and Xerxis and am going to start hexy2, morg2, and makeda3

With khador-double Irusk, hat power for the win

With legion, Plylyth

Menoth: Harbinger, iKreoss, and eKreoss.

Harbinger is fun because you have sooo much Focus, especially when you run the Avatar, a Sanctifier, Wracks, and a reclaimer all in the same list.

eKreoss has his feat round where everything his troops hit in his control area DIES.

And iKreoss has just amazing synergy while being a major beatstick himself.

Don't forget the Hierophant. Effective Focus 12 is kinda stupid.

For my Cygnar: Seige and eHaley

For my Cryx: both Dennys

I'm a Cryx player, and by that I mean I've played them all. My previous favourites have been Deneghra1, Mortenebra but my current most played are Gapsy3, both the Skarres, Witch Coven, Terminus and Scaverous.

I play Protectorate of Menoth. Primarily with pSeverius and sometimes eFeora. I'm painting up Vindictus and will probably run with him for a month so when he and my Cinerators are done. I like pSeverius because he works with just about anything. That means whenever I get a new models I can just slap them in with him and not have to be worried hamstringing them with the wrong caster.

I'm thinking of starting up either Circle with a Kromac list sometimes in the near-ish future.

Played pdenny for a year+, play a lot of eSkarre and pShade.

I would recommend pShade if you've got the thralls already. He's a change of pace.
