So I'm geting a gameing PC soon and I was looking for some good recomendations on PC games, I was thinking of starting with fallout 3.

New Vegas, Mount and Blade Warband, Skyrim, Chivalry: Medieval Warfare, Terraria, Minecraft, Payday: The Heist, Postal 2, the list goes on.

This just depends on what type of games you like.

Without knowing that, its hard to suggest things!

As Spyder dsadi, its hard to suggest without knowing what you are looking for...

for Strategy and RPG games, have a look at the thread a couple down form this one, there are a LOAD of good choices in there....

I can reccomend Skyrim and Dishonored. However not AC3 , Connor is just no real assassin , hes more of a brutish slaughterman.

Blacklight: Retribution.
-- Free to play first person shooter. Quite intuitive and has a lot of interesting concepts and customization.

The DoW franchise.
-- Both DoW1 and DoW2 are great examples of the RTS genre at its finest, and don't let any one tell you otherwise.

Supreme Commander, and its expansion, Forged Alliance
-- If you want large scale ground wars, this is where you go to. Very few games, if any, match its scale without becoming a board game.

Minecraft and Terraria.
-- Both great exploration/building/adventure games. Minecraft is 3d and focuses probably more on exploration and excavation, while Terraria is 2d and is more of an exploration/adventure game.

Awesomenauts
-- A great sidescrolling competitive RPG (the MOBA style, if you know what that is-- like DotA).

THe Elder Scrolls series
-- A much less competitive, three-dimensional RPG. Still awesome.

Galactic Civilization 2
-- The best Civilization spin-off, arguably better than Civilization itself lately.

Team Fortress 2-The best FPS since Goldeneye, absolutely brilliant, and free!

Spore-Quite old now, still loads of fun, create...well, anything.

Skyrim-Really, the main advantage you're getting on the PC is slightly better graphics and mods. Mods are fun to muck about with, but if they aren't your thing, stick with the console version.

Battlefield: Bad Company 2-Arguably better than Battlefield 3.

Dwarf Fortress is pretty awesome.

There's the total war games, absolutely awesome games.

Company of Heroes, very popular rts.

I've got load a can recommend for each genre, but it depends what you like really.

If you are after online games, there are fewer more amazing than everquest. Its free now.

Of course you've got Command and Conquer 3. Ignore number 4.
