Not sure where I'm supposed to put rules questions so I'll just throw it here and if it's wrong a mod can move it

I haven't played an army other then Tyranids well... ever. All my other armies are just modeling projects but I love Terminators and have decided to put the bugs away and try Deathwing and just wanted to clear this up.

If I have a Deathwing Knight Squad with a Land Raider Crusader as its dedicated transport and a Deathwing command squad with one as well can I put Belial in one and a Librarian in TDA in the other? or will they have to foot slog behind them?
Sorry if this a super newby I'm just not used to transports.

Edit: Also why do a lot of the list being posted in a DA tactica thread have "mortis dreads" for AA. I thought they were just a forge world variant?

If you want to run both the squad and the IC in a Land Raider it is possible as long as the Transport Capacity of the LR allows it. So if you have a squad of 5 Knights and Belial and run them in a Crusader or a Redeemer you are fine as they have at least a Capacity of 12 (Termi Armor uses to places so 5 x 2 + 1 x 2 = 12) but if you would want to run them in a Phobos you would have to leave the IC behind as the LR has only a Capacity of 10.

Mortis can stand for 2 different things. The original Mortis pattern Dreadnought is a Dread with two identical shooting weapons as arms which were originally only available for DA. But the 5th Edition C:SM allowed every Chapter to take a Dread with dual tl Autocannons. The twinlinked helps against air as you have more chances to roll the 6s and is probably your best bet if you have no real dedicated Anti Air.
The other Mortis Pattern is the Contemptor Mortis from Forgeworld which gains Skyfire and Interceptor if he doesn't move.

Playing mostly Necromunda and Battletech, Malifaux is awesome too!
