As many of you know, we aquired some of the the non-IP Starship Troopers molds from Mongoose. We have to change of some of the figures to protect Sony's IP. For Example, we had Sandra Garitty put new heads on some of the Skinnies to create our new Sci-Fi race, the Valonians.

Valonian Infantry

Valonian Heavy Weapons

Those of you familar with the old Skinnie line.. What are some packs you would like to see come out?

We also are producing the bugs that are not Sony's intellectual property. Like:

There are some humans we can do, but we have to be careful not to intrude on Sony's IP. So, those familar with the old line, if there anything you'd like to see?

You can see most of the stuff we have ready here: http://www.rebelminis.com/sciencefiction.html

Thanks for any feedback

Aren't the Firefries and such from the Starship Troopers TV series?

Haha, I know that, I meant, are the Firefries and other things from the TV show still part of the Sony IP?

Cool, those were some of the figs I missed out on in the great MGP miniatures purge of 2008!. Cougar and Grizzly suits please? Those not-skinnies should go nicely with what I've got still. The heads are certainly an improvement!

I am the best 40k player in my town, I always win! Of course, I am the only player of 40k in my town.

Check out my friends over at Sea Dog Game Studios, they always have something cooking: http://www.sailpowergame.com. Or if age of sail isn't your thing check out the rapid fire sci-fi action of Techcommander http://www.techcommandergame.com

Oh

No, the Scorps were mongoose designs and not exactly like the show. We had the CHAS but we are having to change a few things that Sony suggested.

yeah, been thinking about picking us a couple of more CHAS' too bad you have to make changes, but I am glad to hear that Sony is actually working with you and not being mindless and beating you up with a legal-hammer.

I so glad to these excellent sculpts making a comeback! I know I'll be putting in an order shortly.

As far as which models I'd like to see in the future, with no knowledge of which molds you acquired:

Grizzly and Cougar Exosuits - these were perhaps the best 28mm exosuit sculpts available. I think there will be dancing in the streets if these make a comeback.
Pathfinders - awesome sculpts and I think outside of Sony's IP
Neodogs

Skinnie Venerables to round out the Valonian line

Infiltrator Bugs
Obviously regular Tanker Bugs are out, but perhaps the King Tanker and Thorny Tanker bugs could be seen.
Likewise, Brain Bugs are a no-go, but I think Overseer bugs are Mongoose originals

The Overseer was one the coolest models ever. it should make a comeback (in resin, hopefully. that thing weighed a ton)

The Hoppers and Ripplers were both plastic multipart kits. I think Rebel only has metal molds.

Yes, I onlly have the metal molds, but if they are not Sony's IP or design , I can work off a master...

Doesnt Mongoose sort of own those, or at least the grizzly?

I'm not sure what you mean. Mongoose did own all of the above scupts before Rebel Minis bought a subset of Mongoose's molds. The Holocaust Judges came out sometime in 2010, so it is possible the Exosuit molds were included in this sale. Though really, I have no idea which molds they do or do not have.
