Well, in small pt games, you need numbers.
However, the list lacks a unit that can take on tougher opponents.

As far as 1k games go, deathwing lists are actually rather good

ive seen belial, 3 term units and a whirlwind work well @ 1k.

The first list will be something like 160 plus shots while standing still, the second list is the same amount 144 shots.

In my experience this is absolutely false; you roll the dice with DW at 1k, you can compete with some armies but actually have terrible games against most armies. 15 terminators just can't handle certain threats (think flyers, LRs, Hordes). Greenwing seems very competitive at 1k though.

The list seems quite solid, I prefer the first list to the second. Per wuestenfux's comment, a few more high S shots might be a positive, Mortis Dread or Dev squad might be useable. I like the idea of more PA dudes. Personally I feel like 1k is too low to use the Standard, but YMMV and its certainly strong.

Your list price for the standard of Shooting harder is a bit off, your listed price is for Fortitude, Devastation is 20pts cheaper.

Yes Avater, keep getting them too confused, tbh it should be that way round, 85pts for FNP is a bit expensive imo, while 65pts for salvo is dirt cheap!.

Ah fair enough, i was just seeing them do remarkably well recently...

85 pts for FNP in any unit within 12" of the banner is not very expensive - it wouldn't be impossible to get a whole army of terminators inside that range.

Compare that to sang priests, you can get two for 100pts, so can create a 12 inch bubble, double the wounds as there are two models and you get furious charge. For 15 more pts. I know what I would rather have


Well used this list

Libby lvl 2 with power field gen

Command squad with standard of devastation

Won the fist two games, even though I faced 10 termies and contemptor and I have NO ap1 or 2 in the list, managed to get the haywire and re roll 6 psyhic power on first roll, took the dread down to 1 hull point, wiped the termies out before they reached my lines, I lost 10 tac marines and opponent only had 5 scouts other end of board.

Second game kill points against nids, he drip fed me doom and flying hive tyrant doom come down and spore pod was intercepted for first blood, passed two leadership tests, second turn forgot to move my units and proceeded to fail both tests, getting 3 6's on the 10 man squad! ouch. Doom then died, tyrant charged into the LRC and smashed it to death, lots of bolter shots later tyrant died, giving me the win. (i had lost LRC and tac squad, he lost doom, pod tyrant plus first blood and warlord)

Last game, another game that showed my lack of ap1 and 2, dante 10 sang guard libby and 2 sang priests!. Forced dante to death just as he killed me (damn his -1 wound to my IC!!!), he killed all my troops and all I had left on turn 6 with 2 from command squad, land raider (power field saved that from infernus pistols! woohoo!), he had 1 sang guard and sang priest left, one more turn I could have drew the game with warlord and line breaker as I would have had 24 tl bolter shots plus 4 assault cannon shots and 4 other bolter shots. Damn!
