Hi. Im looking to convert/scratch build sniper wolf from the metal gear series for a count as vindicare assassin but im having a hard time finding a base model to work with as im not the best at sculpting

Basically looking for a skin tight(or nude ._.) female model that would scale well with gw 40k. I intend on green stuffing clothing around it and adding a sniper.

Or any other bright ideas would be great.

I actually did this myself a couple weeks ago. I used this model from Statuesque Minis, as it looks very close to Sniper Wolf, minus the sleeves (you could just say she rolled them up, or sculpt them back on). The proportions are a bit thin/realistic compared to 40k's "heroic" scale, but it works well enough.

Emilia Foxwell also makes a great Meryl!

Sniper Wolf seems to be slightly taller, the only real difference is with body proportions.

I really like her pose btw, and considering she spends 2/3 of her boss fights behind cover it's sensible. Plus it's far more dynamic than your average-joe 40k model.

Im looking at one of the vindicares I have now. I take it you want to see the face which will be something of a challenge. You could use Vindicare as a base model. Some green stuff will be needed to sculpt the breast and make things a little stream lined. Take off the exitus rifle and cut it down a little. Try to make it resemble a HK style rifle. Replace the end of it with the end of a las gun. Take arm with the pistol and cut it off. Remove the pistol and then place it back on the model and use green stuff to cover and fill in the cut places. Replacing the head can easily be done. Once you find a pleasible female head you can pin it onto the model and use green stuff to fill in the places you need it to. Also, you can use green stuff for making long hair after the head has been put on and is set.

The tuft part is the head. On this do some looking around for finding something that you like and are willing to come to terms with. Its not easy finding good female heads to use for this type of game. I've more or less just laid out how I could see this sort of project being done and accomplished.

yeah was thinking about using the vind body but to much hassles removing the existing frill.

i was thinking using eldar or dark eldar parts and green stuffing the clothing on her but im only starting this project still more research to be done.

the dynamic pose is cool but its just not the style i like. i prefer ether running or aiming. great backup plans though

Since you already suggested the use of (dark) eldar parts....

This is what I made:

Body is from a venom crew member, arms from a kabalite warrior, weapon from Anvil Industries.

Just incase people don't know what Sniper Wolf looks like:

There are a few Infinity models that you could work on, they are all a bit petite compared to GW minis, but with a bit of bulk added with accessories and greenstuff, maybe a headswap or gunswap, it should be fine:

I'll just add these to the Infinity pool, especially for Sniper models:

http://www.infinitythegame.com/infinity/en/2011/miniatures/al-hawwa%E2%80%99-unit-2/ Not skin-tight nor nude, but a cutie nonetheless.

http://www.infinitythegame.com/infinity/en/2012/miniatures/chandra-spec-ops/ Comes with a sniper weapon option.

http://www.infinitythegame.com/infinity/en/2011/miniatures/nagas-2/ Best option so far for what you want in the Infinity range: female sniper with skin-tight clothing.
