So once again i face off against the tyranids in a 1500 point game of the scourging. My track record against tyranids hasn't been great in the past so it was important to try and improve my game.

The Twilight Zone

Nice job beating the bugs. DE are really, really good at killing nids. Poisoned guns and darklight fire makes quick work of the entire codex.

I have found with DE that rangers just get overshadowed. Let all that juicy poison fire do the job the rangers do. 10 guardians with a scatter laser run the same cost, and the extra S6 is helpful.

More walkers or a wraithlord would be good replacements for your reapers.

The most important rule of 40K-Page XVII of the 6th edition rulebook, the figure at the top right of the page. "Shake hands with your opponent and thank them for a good battle and fun experience." Then go out for a beer.

what a bad tyranid list, tyrannofex???, the Dark Eldar list is quite unconventional but by far more competive.

Nice report none the less!

You have ruled this galaxy for ten thousand years
Yet have little of account to show for your efforts
Order. Unity. Obedience.
We taught the galaxy these things

And we shall do so again.

I am thinking about swapping rangers for guardians, it would help a lot more i think. And the reapers... i'm going to try out using warp spiders for a little bit. I just want to see how it goes.

Hey now the list wasn't that bad and neither are tyranofex's maybe that guy just likes using all unique MC rather then going spam hammy.

My biggest question was whether or not the bug player was refusing to cast any psychic powers because of ruins or because he forgot?

It was mainly because of runes of warding, he has had some bad experience against them in the past so didn't want to risk taking any wounds from failed test.

Something I noticed - you need to pay for the spirit seer upgrade on the Wraithguard's warlock otherwise it still counts as elites. As such your list was somewhat illegal.

So far the effectiveness of 10 Wraithblades with Ghost Axes:
Tanked 2 Leman Russ squadrons (including the battle cannons and the triple plasma variant); whilst also getting wailed on by everything imaginable in a Fortress of Redemption. Only to get into CC with the tanks and open them up.
2000 points worth of Necrons with Forgeworld additions. Got into CC with a court of Lords and opened them up.
Killed a GUO.
Killed Angrath the Gargantuan Bloodthirster in an Apoc game (with the help of Iranna the Spirit Seer).
Ate a Hammerhead, pathfinders and scored after 3 turns of walking towards a 2000 point Tau gunline and overwatch!
And counting............

I just checked this, and i have payed 396, thats the correct points cost for a unit with spirit seer, so i just forget to type that in the list. Thanks for noticing the typo though. i will correct it.
