Hi I'm just wondering what way should I go about selling the dark vengence models parting them out unit by unit or whole army? Also I would need help getting prices because I don't know if I could use he prices or not? So if anyone can help or give advice that would be much appreciated

Search on ebay for "40k dark vengeance". That should give you a wide range of options to analyze.

For ease, sell 'em in a batch. For slightly more $$, sell them as groups (tac, termies, bikes, etc).

As said above, look at ebays buy it now prices. Sell them in groups. Like I usually buy cultists off people for .75 cents a piece but I've seen people sell em for 1.25 a piece so it runs down to your negotiating skills. People have been buying the DV box and selling figures individually for profit so you should do well.

Why not do as the above posters mentioned, then work it out yourself? (check completed auctions as well).

You'll probably get half up to 3/4 the price you paid for the box in the first place. If you are selling the entire contents then chances are you will get back more than you paid. But if ebaying remember to take their fees into consideration as well as packaging.

Really though pricing is up to you, you'll either get lucky or break even.

Do some as auctions. I've seen auctions on the terminators ending at £10 or more. I bought mine the same day Buy It Now for £7.50.

Pretty much this.

You'll be lucky to break even at all, go check your country's particular ebay site or other relevant site and compare prices and see what the average is for each set of figures (deathwing termies, space marines etc) and determine a price you think is acceptable for your goods. Remember you might have to compromise if you are really desperate to part with your miniatures for some $$$ since people use these sites in order to make massive savings while getting the most bang for their buck.

Huh, I'm pretty sure Mr. Burning meant that he'd either break even, or get lucky (i.e. make more). Given that there are clearly people buying DV solely for the purpose of splitting, I'd bet they are doing it for a profit, not as a charitable work.

Standard price for a set of figs like dark vengeance is a third of retail for each piece.

Since it's 99 USD in the states, that means each army, and the book with the counters included work out to 33 bucks each. Now, if you want to go into selling individual pieces from the army, it sort of works the same way. They usually group up nicely into three groups, each at 11 USD each. Obviously you can't do that with the book.

Also, you can get the thing of the net for 25% cheaper, so you have to factor that into it as well.

I need to keep the rulebook and templates and dice because I don't have those, but I want to get enough for an army descent army would I get enough?

I'm kind of confused. What kind of army are you wanting? If having a chaos or DA army works for you, just trade your chaos for DA, or DA for chaos. With a little bit of converting that should be enough to make a decent sized army for sure.

Everybody seems to want the cultists, usually $20 per ten. That pretty well matches RRP for those.

Armies: Space Marines, IG, Tyranids, Eldar, Necrons, Orks, Dark Eldar.

Um, what? Can you please clarify this for me, I'm not sure what you are saying here?

he's saying he doesn't want to play the Dark Angels because of the set color scheme. and he doesn't like playing Chaos, because they are more close combat orientated and get taken out before they get into close combat.

what he'd like to do is trade his Dark Vengeance models for another army.

your best bet might be to post in the trade forums, that you have the DV models, and you'd like to swap them all for an army like Orks or Eldar or whatever you'd like. there might be someone there who wants the DV models and has an extra army they're not using.

Just a thought, Noob9405, do you like the way the Dark Angels play as opposed to the CC goodness of Chaos?

There is no secret GW police organization that is going to tie you up and throw you in a sack, and drop you in a hole if you decide to paint them a different color, if I understand that to be your biggest issue with them. That may not be much help so I will ask, are you looking for a shooty army, choppy army, shooty/choppy, or choppy/shooty? Orks can play that way, but so can Marines, Nids, Chaos, et al.

A lot of it comes down to list building.
