Thanks for posting that stuff up Greg, I was pleased that we got a decent number of entries. I might end up running smaller competitions on a semi regular basis if there's enough interest.

Hi guys i'm a returning player to 40k and was wondering if you play many games of 40k for people like me. I am 25 years old and have a full grey knights army i used to play at gw but due to RL issues i had to stop for awhile but i realy wana get back into it. I spend to much time at home these days and would like to get out at least once a week n do 40k.

as i dnt drive i would go straight from work to your club if i can find it but wont get there till 6 as i finish work at 5:30

also would it be worth me turning up one night and jsut have a look around and meet people first??

Yeah if you go into the school via the gates near the church, we're through the first set of doors in the main building. We do have plenty of 40k players so if you bring your army you can almost certainly get a game.

Nick, you know you were talking about doing an escalation league if enough people were interested?
I would be interested in maybe warhammer fantasy or I like the look of dropzone commander.
But I'd only be able to do it once I've got a job!
With dropzone commander or any other system, it would only be worth doing if there were enough people to play against. I like the idea of playing another system. With fantasy, there are enough players that I know I'd get a game in.

Yeah the problem with non GW systems is that there's a brief surge in popularity then it seems to die off again, Infinity and Malifaux both had this. Obviously I'd love to see more systems take off but I think it's fair to say that we mainly play GW games.

I'll have a think about an escalation league more seriously this week and see who would be interested on Tuesday.

i changed my mind on tuesday 27th i will pop down for first time and will bring my 40k army if any 1 would be willing and if free table to welcome me with a friendly game let me know and at what points limit aswell thanks all

Well we normally play 1750 point games but most of us are willing to play smaller or larger games.

I've been reading the WHFB rule book and the Tomb Kings army book. I'm definitely going to go for Tomb Kings.
I'm really liking the idea of fantasy, having read through the rule book.

Good choice, personally I'm looking at the Dwarves. Hopefully we'll discuss the escalation league with more people on Monday.

If anyone has got an army I could borrow, I'd love to get in on a game of Fantasy tomorrow, like I did before.
I've been reading up on it and looking through battle reports etc, and I'm really quite excited about starting.
I've just bought the Tomb Kings army book of ebay for £9.50 so pretty happy about that (don't think the wife will be, but too late now!)

Unfortunately I don't have a spare army ready to go.

Will try to make it down tonight, but in the gist of a house move and had a cold over the weekend.
