I've been wondering whether anyone thinks that there will ever be a minion starter box for either sub-faction and what it would be made up of.

My thoughts would be:

Blindwater:
Bloody Barnabus
Blackhide Wrassler
2 Bull snappers

Thornfall:
Carver
Warhog
2 Gun Boars

Anyone think of more likely ones?

Well there could be, but didnt PP stop selling their Merc Starters? Perhaps thats them saying "we're not sure how many people are going to buy just these"


On the other hand Minion Lists are all inclusive compared to Mercs who have a lot of cross listing if they wanted to so who knows

I believe if you investigate the rules for the Journeyman League, PP has an official equivalent to a starter set for various Merc contracts and Minions.

Doubt they will, mercs and minions are meant to be fun side forces rather than main factions. Nonetheless, I'm a proud member of the Blindwater Congregation when I'm not playing Khador.

Mercs and Minions are Meant to be played as main factions.... Just not add ons to others.

I heard they quit the starter boxes due to the many restrictions Mercs brings.

Example..
New Player buys the menoth box.. it works with everything.

New Player buys a Rhulic box, then goes to add on a Human caster.. then all of a sudden... the jacks are invalid.

I looked up journeyman league format and turns out I was spot on with Thornfall. Blindwater was Barnabus, Wrassler & Spitter

Its probably because they decided to have all the starter sets be plastic and they weren't sure if they could get a decent return on the investment in plastic moulds.
