This came up yesterday and I'm not sure we played it right. We've been playing that a model manning the quadgun (or any weapon for that matter) gets to overwatch with it. I think this was the general consensus here as well. So assuming that it is, yesterday I shoot a stormraven with interceptor, meaning that I can't fire on my next turn, however that unit got assaulted on that same turn and we got into if the quadgun is able to be used for overwatch on the same turn it used interceptor. Logic says no so we didn't but nothing in the BRB seems to stop it from.
What's your say on this?

If you get very technical with it, you are just restricted on your next turn, that however is definitely not how I would play it, you played it exactly how I would play it.

No Overwatch if it was used via Interceptor in previous opponent's round... however, the dude manning that guy can still overwatch with his personal weapon... if I'm not mistaken?

Yup, that is correct.
You may overwatch with a quadgun, but if you used Interceptor the previous turn you would be prevented from firing.

Yeah the thing here is that I didn't use it the previous turn but that same turn. I shot the stormraven with interceptor and on that same turn some assault BA landed behind my havocs and charged here is where the doubt appeared since, I didn't shoot interceptor on the previous turn but on that same one. Still yeah, seems like just go with once the interceptor is used wait a turn for cooldown

RAW you are clear. You did NOT shoot interceptor in the prior turn, but the same turn, therefore the restriction on interceptor does NOT apply.

Yup, that's what i though. Follow up question... so... from the looks everyone would play it on the no overwatch after firing with interceptor even on the same turn however... if you aren't allowed to overwatch on that same turn, and you can't overwatch on your next turn since the interceptor restriction from the previous turn comes into play, wouldn't that be lots of restrictions on the overwatch, you would be giving up 2 overwatches and 1 shooting attack for using interceptor, seems like you'll have to either play it RAW and allow overwatch on the same turn OR allow overwatch on the subsequent turn.

You're mixing up game turn and player turn. When rules say "turn", they always mean player turn. They write 'game turn' when they don't.
I personally can't think of a situation where you can fire overwatch during your own turn (ie. the turn after you used the Interceptor special rule). But yes, in that hypothetical situation, you would be prevented from doing it.

By turn, you are referring to Player turn. I can't think of a situation where you would fire Overwatch on your own turn so you aren't really giving up that Overwatch. However, I am of the belief that firing Overwatch on the same turn you fired as an Interceptor would be fine. It's RAW, since the rules say you can't fire it next turn but it is still the same turn. If I wanted to be TFG, then I would say that I'll allow Overwatch on your own turn instead of playing RAW.
In reality, If I was playing you, I would allow you to overwatch during my turn, even though you fired Interceptor. You just woke the gun up to do some shooting a few phases early. If it only takes 1 phase (your movement) to reload between firing Overwatch and your shooting phase, then I see no reason to think it would take more than one phase (my shooting) to reload between Interceptor and Overwatch.

If you use the Eldar FAQ for Bladestorm as a precedent you wouldn't be allowed to overwatch with a quad gun. Perhaps I'm putting an unnecessary restriction on myself as I take an Aegis and Quad gun in almost every one of my IG lists but it seems the correct way to play it is you can't.
Q: Can you fire on Overwatch if you used Bladestorm in your previous Shooting phase? (p30)
A: No – you must forgo a full game turn of Shooting after
using Bladestorm.
