So I've been playing around with taking DA as allies with Blood Angels. I've come to the conclusion that 10 terminators is "too much" with the core I usually run, but still would like to give them a chance. Here are two lists, one with DA allies, the other somewhat in the same spirit, but with no allies.

BA+DA 2000

Blood Angels
HQ:
-Librarian (Prescience bot)

Troops:
-5x Assault Squad with Meltagun
-Razorback with Las/Plas
-5x Assault Squad with Meltagun
-Razorback with Las/Plas
-5x Assault Squad with Meltagun
-Razorback with Las/Plas
-7x Death Company with 1 Power Fist, 2 Power Axes and Lemartes
-Drop Pod

Heavy:
-Stormraven with TLAC, TLMM, and Hurricane Bolters
-Stormraven with TLAC, TLMM, and Hurricane Bolters

Dark Angels:

HQ:
-Belial

Elite:
-Deathwing Knights

Troops:
-Scouts with sniper rifles

-ADL with Comms Relay

The core of this list, and the next, is the Razorback squads and the Stormravens with the addition of the ADL. I'm a big fan of the ADL with comms relay as it allows consistent turn 2 arrival of the SRs (as arriving late is their biggest weakness IMO) while providing me with 4+ cover for my vehicles every game. (Who hasn't played at a store that lacks enough cover?).

The idea of this list is to drop the Knights and the Death Company on turn one right where the enemy doesn't want them. This will hopefully give them a hard choice on what to shoot at, either a very durable squad that puts out a ton of hurt, or a slightly less threatening melee squad that they can hurt a bit easier. Both should be difficult enough for an opponent to wipe out first turn, while scary enough to not want to engage in close combat for most. Belial will ensure the Knights deep strike close enough to the enemy to be a threat, as will the drop pod most games.

BA 2000

Blood Angels
HQ:
-Dante

Troops:
-5x Assault Squad with Meltagun
-Razorback with Las/Plas
-5x Assault Squad with Meltagun
-Razorback with Las/Plas
-5x Assault Squad with Meltagun
-Razorback with Las/Plas
-5x Sanguinary guard with 2 Infernus Pistols, 3 Power Swords and 2 Power Axes, and Banner

Elite:
-Brother Corbulo
-Sanguinary Priest with Jump Pack

Fast Attack:
-Baal Predator with TLAC and Heavy Bolter Sponsons
-Baal Predator with TLAC and Heavy Bolter Sponsons

Heavy:
-Stormraven with TLAC, TLMM, and Hurricane Bolters
-Stormraven with TLAC, TLMM, and Hurricane Bolters

-ADL with Comms Relay

The same BA core as the previous list. Dante, the SG, and the JP Priest would drop turn two with no scatter and use their infernus pistols to take out a high priority vehicle. They would have close to the survivability as the Knights with the FNP save (but 1 less toughness upon DS). The Baals will provide fire support and some extra armor saturation that the first list lacks. The banner and brother corbulo were added due to leftover points. Corbulo would ride in one of the razorbacks. With some tweaking I could potentially afford a 3rd Baal predator by removing the SG Banner and Corbulo if that would be a better idea.

Comments or criticism? Which list do you prefer or are they both terrible? Anything you'd change?

I'm not sure what the DA stuff does in the first list, sorry. I'll talk about the second list.

The second list looks pretty good. You reserve all your heavy support, but you've got the comms relay to help with that. That is very smart and something many dual stormraven lists neglect.

In design, this list is very similar to what I use frequently, except I have one 10 man jumper blob to act as a bully against deep strikers.

With the DA in the first list, the Deathwing Knights are a 5 man fearless terminator squad with Stormshields and Power Mauls that gain T5 when in BtB. Once a game they may all strike at Strength 10 AP2. Essentially they are a very scary melee threat that can wipe out just about any one unit in the game after they charge them. They also don't scatter due to Belial's ability and come down turn 1 or two automatically.

I've gotten burned enough times by a turn 4 Stormraven that the Comms relay is a no-brainer for me. I'm surprised I don't see more of them, it's a steal compared to the reliability it gives the list and the cover. I could even use it to try and delay them an extra turn if need be to combat enemy flyers.

I'd feel better about having those terminators in a LR, then, Deep striking assault terminators have a tendency in my experience to get shot. A lot. Does the T5 only work in HTH? If it works against shooting as well, but that's good, but leaves them very vulnerable to templates and blasts it sounds like. I like deep striking shooters with melta or template weapons, not assault guys.

Yes it works against shooting and also gives Belial T5. Essentially if you are in BtB with 2 other models, you get T5. The Stormshields help a bit with the "getting shot up upon deepstrike" problem. A land raider would work yes, but I'm a little hesitant on taking just one. It also requires a mandatory venerable upgrade to carry Deathwing so the LR itself would come to about 280-290. I could potentially drop belial to alleviate some of this extra cost and just take a standard Libby in terminator armor, a 90 point difference vs Belial. If I did that I'd also probably want to replace the DC with something else as it would change my plan of two turn 1 close threats.

Well, I'll say that T5 guys with storm shields are about the nastiest assault thing you can deep strike in terms of not getting shot up that I can think of. Sounds like it could be pretty disruptive.
