Hi dakka,
Just thought it might be cool to have an ork warboss multi-part kit like the SM commander.
Do you think this could happen?
I just think it would be good to be able to use half the options without having to do to much converting
So, what do you think?

I can see it now....Nids are now a collection of autonomous hive fleets there are multiple Hive Minds and they all war with one another in addition to everyone else. They speak to humans using telepathy, and they can now ally with Space Wolves as battle brothers, because reasons.
Tyranids talking to humans would be like you talking to your mashed potatoes or the probiotic in your kiefer drink. It is neither possible nor productive.
Inside my mind I pinched my nipples and savored his bitter silence.

Many ork players pray for that every day.

Sadly I think the closest thing we're ever going to get is the nob kit. It's got all the bitz and bobz besides mega armor and a bike.

Maybe we'll get one in the rumored ork wave that's supposed to hit this spring/summer?

It certainly would be nice. I have the AoBR boss for my footslogging warboss needs, but it'd be nice to be able to make an actual biker boss with the proper torso size instead of having to use a generic Nob for it! It's kinda silly when the footslogging warboss is bigger on his own than the supposedly-warboss Nob biker!

Yeah, I've also got the AoBR one and I need a biker boss but don't fancy buying the FW one for £40-50

I'd be all over it.

Also a Librarian/Chaplain kit (PA)

Terminator Captain/Librarian/Chaplain kit.

PA Chaos Champion/sorcerer kit.

Necron Lord/Cryptex kit with all of the weird ass weapon.wargear options.

Some more, but that's the important ones.

Yes please
If GW has actually been listening to us (unlikely), then this will be a reality in the near future! Ork wave incoming for spring/summer (please include the Dex).

Hell... I'll buy 2.

The multi-part kit for the Space Marine Commander is awesome... I think every army should have something like it!

Waaagh! Skarshak - Back after being lost in the Warp, an' ready to Krump sum 'eads!

Yeah, it would be good.
Maybe it's just me be I hate the metal models-no customisation etc.

But... half the fun of Orkz is the converting!

Seriously though, I'd really like some more bits. Just in general. I wish they had a thing that was like a bits grab bag. Choose the army you want, pay $15, and get a sack full of random bits.

I realize this might sound silly, but simply placing an AoBR Warboss on a bike actually looks pretty good. He fits in surprisingly well.

For thirteen years I had a dog with fur the darkest black. For thirteen years he was my friend, oh how I want him back.

This is exactly what I did.

Pic's a bit dark, but show's what I did. Basically, chopped off the big shoota, spun the right hand to grip the bike handle and did some work on the legs to remove the decorative bits. Fits great.

Of course, after finishing him up someone gave me the FW biker boss in a trade, so now I have two.

Yeah, I know, but i'm quite lazy and when trying to convert a nob+bitz to a warboss it just looks stupid. And the metal/finecast models are a pain in the backside to successfully convert

Looks great
How does it look next to bikers/nob bikers size-wise?
I'm going to check out ebay now to see if I can get another AoBR warboss and try it my self now

He is intentionally huge (that base is basically a flying oval base). See pic below for size comparisons. The four dudes behind him are Nobs. The guys behind the Battle Wagon are normal bikers (with Nob in each squad).

He and Wazzdakka aren't glued down though, in case someone complains about the size.

Oh, um, thats feth'ing huge!!!
I was thinking it's like half an inch taller than a nob!
Do you use a wartrakk as a bike?

The back of it is a wartrakk with a boy shooting the dakkagun. The middle of it is a deffkopta with the missiles, rear assembly and rotor thingy off of it. The front is the bars from a warbike on a random wheel I had.

Wow, and I was hoping for an easy conversion

Back to the original post, maybe they could do 2 warboss kits (one with bike, one without) and a big mek kit including KFF, KMB, burna etc. but leave the SAG as finecast?
So what are dakka's thoughts???

Yea, my biker boss isnt much bigger than the normal bikes (about 1/3 bigger i think) because i used a normal nob for the rider. Its main bulk is i used Trukk wheels instead of bike wheels and made the back a trike-formation with random bits of looted space marine stuff on it.

I doubt they'll ever release a proper warboss. They get more money the way it is now. Eventually all those AOBR warbosses will dry up and we'll be forced to buy *cringe* resin ones with the pklaw.

An ork with an idea tends to end with a bang.
