Since no one has started one here, I thought that I would.

Here is a link to the ruling recently made the Dev team. It says that pThags feat can indeed bring back an Archangel from the dead. So for 15 points, I can field one caster and effectively two gargantuans. I think that this is either crazy or broken but I have yet to try it and see which one it is.

What other ideas do you have for lists or what are your thoughts on the ruling?

Like anything else we shall see how it plays out on the table.

AA doesn't scare me all that much, and reading the PP boards the Infernals had ruled that because you cant "place" huge base models it didn't need to be added to the Errata.

Meh.

You could already bring Typhon back and he costs 12 pts, bringing back the Archangel when he has to spend the whole turn sitting around doing nothing isn't that game breaking, IMO... Of course I have to see it on the table before passing on further judgement, but so far it doesn't scare me.

They said that there are two kinds of place: the first is place effects (like sipstream or mirage) and the second is place on the board (like anything that brings models back from the dead). Only the first one is not allowed for gargantuans and colossals.

Ah, that makes a bit more sense....

Here is the link to the "ruling" from the Infernal if anyone wants to read it.

This is going to be super-adorable at 15pts. Still this might give the Archangel a list where it really fits as the gargantuan rules really make it feel like a fish out of water in Legion.

Unless Lylyth3 has Snipe. I would love this but I'm not holding my breath.

Put SG on him within range of Thag's aura, thats ARM 22 with a d3 dmg to the attackers. If they end up killing it (assuming no RFP), You can bring it back next turn. Its an entire turn of a 20 pt model not attacking, then it gets back into the fight.

Its an interesting idea, and I'd like to playtest it before I judge, but its a step in the right direction for the AA since its release. Basically instead of the holy trinity of Carny, Scythean, Ravagore, you'll do Carny & AA.

I'm also stoked for the Warspear UA. I'm not sure how I want to build his list yet, but there are more options available now which is always a good thing.

Note that at 15pts, if the scenario is Tooth & Claw/Mangled Metal, then when you lose all your beasts you lose the game. Which means that there isn't a turn to get the Archangel back most of the time in those point levels.

And stuff.

wow, I'm a bit scared, but looking forward to play against this list @15pt
I've already told my regular opponent (that is a EoB player) and he's very excited about the possibility to bring back a gargantuan with Thag.
(I rushed checking if Thag feat maybe stated "place completely within 3", but no it doesn't...).

The Infernals made a statement that his feat can now bring back the AA, for the time being. Depending on how it plays out throughout the year, they may errata it. Personally I don't think its that bad. Sure, its a 20pt model, but its effectively neutralized for a turn and the model itself is a bit pricey for what it does. Seems to balance the scales (IMO).

Enjoy it while it lasts!
