Hi guys, I am converting my old lizardmen into 40k models and using the orc codex for the rules.
I was planing on using the new Stegadon model as a trukk or battlewagon, but dont know what size they are.
Hopefully you guys can help me? What is closest to the size of a stegadon? the trukk or battlewagon?

Stegadon are smaller and narrower than trucks.

8000 Dark Angels (No primaris)
10000 Lizardmen (Fantasy I miss you)
3000 High Elves
4000 Kel'shan Ta'u

The stegadon may be slightly smaller then a ork trukk..But add some armor plates to bulk it up as much as possible and I certianly wouldnt have any issue with it being a trukk,

Or use it as a Looted Wagon, which doesn't have an official model to compare to anyway

Armies:
Primary: Black Templars Crimson Fists Orks
Allied: Sisters of Battle Imperial Guard

There's a guy who did a looted Carnifex, so I'm pretty sure you'll be fine with using the stegadon. Like Etched In Pride says, to remove any confusion, just make sure thye know what it is and model the appropriate weapons, etc... and try to make it similar in overall size.

Ya a snakebite army would be cool. Just try and make it look good maybe have the steggie pulling a wagon thing or something. Rule of Cool will apply.

yeah, but I don't think you'll catch a stegadon moving 25" a turn...

I can see it now....Nids are now a collection of autonomous hive fleets there are multiple Hive Minds and they all war with one another in addition to everyone else. They speak to humans using telepathy, and they can now ally with Space Wolves as battle brothers, because reasons.
Tyranids talking to humans would be like you talking to your mashed potatoes or the probiotic in your kiefer drink. It is neither possible nor productive.
Inside my mind I pinched my nipples and savored his bitter silence.

Eh, that's a bit iffy. It's obviously not a vehicle. There are rules for squiggoths in some Forgeworld book. I recommend using those instead.

Use it as a looted wagon! Then get squigoths and gargantuan squigoths and take some Kroot greater knarlocs as allies!

I think its a great idea! Add armor plates and the right weapons and there shouldn't be an issue. As far as the movement thing goes, you could give him some rockets on the back or some how show that the orks have it drugged up to be really fast.

The Stegadon is just BEGGING to be run as a Squigoth! Check out the older IA books to get the rules on them, they are AWESOME.

Haha, thx guys

My plan was to put some more armour plates on it and some orc weapons. So if its a bit smaler than a truk I think it will be about the same size after some uppgrades!

About the squigoth, I am planing to get some of those aswell, but that will take a while

I am not sure how to explain the speed of the stegadon. Mabe it is just breed to be superfast or somthing. I keep picturing the roket-powered stegadon in my head xD but that is a bit to "cartoonish" for what I am lokking for.

I am also thinking about putting wings on a carnasour, and use it as a dakkajet^^

I fully support this idea. Kind of go a little bit of wysiwyg. Your opponent sees a giant dinosaur and you’re an ork then it’s a no brainer that it’s a Squigoth. Trying to covert it to a truck just doesn’t mesh in my mind but if you have friends that you play with that are cool with it then by god run with it. Just make sure you post some pics for us to see your final result.

BAO 2015 : Best Space Wolves.

The best battle plans are the simplest. Just run forward and punch your enemy in the face.
