I have nfi about book binding, but I took a couple pics that may help. The book lay flat without resistance.

I didn't get my cards either but I think Yonan mentioned having them so probably just a mispick/pack.

As for the collector's hardback. I see glue, but I also see thread down the middle if you open it to the center. Opened to the center, it lays flat just fine. It's new and stiff so obviously the pages kind of flip up a bit if it's just opened to the first few pages or the last ones, from the weight of the pages pulling the spine left or right I mean.

I liked the little personalized message from Ronnie/Jake lol.

Might have to find a way to place it on my shelf so the cover is showing, otherwise it just looks like a blank black-faux leather ledger/journal/blank-pages-book-thing.

So after looking at the strider... wow that's a lot of parts!

Mold lines look light-moderate, with the smallest parts having thin halos from the way their little mini-sprues were done, big parts are not too bad.

Starting to wonder if I really want to bother magnetizing these.. or if I just want to pick up a couple of extras... By the time I fork over enough cash for magnets for the toros I could probably get another one. And all of the head-aches involved with magnets... Almost thinking quantity IS quality for these, the spare bits will come in handy elsewhere Maybe just do up a 3-strider squad of Corporation shooters, corporation melee, and one each for plague and rebs...

Is storage or transport space a concern? That's a big reason to use magnets for me. Have a much more compact collection. Also magnetising some things can allow them to fit into places they otherwise couldn't. But yeah at $10 a piece it's much more doable than say... 40k dreads at $US46 a piece ; p And having spare bits for other things is always nice!

Not especially. I've found through my marine magnet projects that I tend to create weaker overall poses (even with the ability to move parts around) than if I just carefully pose and glue. I dunno a magnetized cockpit would be ok. Heck, you could probably even use a little bit of strategically placed blue-tack for the cockpit since it's such a static part. That way I could mobilize additional plague striders, freshly converted to the cause

I love how you get whichever bag the specialists come in when you get the booster bundle. Free enforcer captain!

Is anyone else planning to make a hexagonal doom-fortress out of their battle zone variety pack, or whatever it's called? Can't wait to clean and paint the little tracked grabber units, make a factory building or something.

Yeah I'll pay the worse posing when magnetizing. I've been working on a FFG Deathwatch character and trying to have him have access to all wargear options is pretty frustrating.

Does anyone know where the cards are for the new mechs? Are they in with the Merc cards?

Do I need to submit a new one and mention all the other missing stuff from the last time as well, or just the cards?

Do you mean mention missing stuff from wave 1? They sent out boxes with missing wave 1 stuff long ago, I got mine in good order. If you filled out the missing wave 1 items form and didn't get it, then yeah you should probably mention that and fill it out - marked as such - in the form.

I wonder what prompted casting the head of the unicycle mounted and foot versions of the pathfinder chick in translucent blue material. At least on my two translucent blue bits the material makes seeing the detail about impossible. I almost thought they were scrap.

Well, I ordered another 4 battlezones... there's no saving me.

When the bomb drops there kilometres of plastic you can hide under should absorb most of the impact ; p

Yeah I got two of the pathfinders, the heads for one and the heads and one arm on another, and both sets of kickstands were cast in translucent blue instead of the regular light blue resin.

My theory is that they simply ran out of normal resin and had to keep working with whatever resin they had left in storage.

Or some exhausted worker forgot to mix dye in the restic.

Anyway, we're waiting for a Mars Attacks shipping update tonight, right?

The kickstand piece seems to not be translucent, or is at least a lot darker.

Thanks, that's hilarious hahah. Is the detail the same for each material type/colour? It seemed as though the diff colours of Mars Attacks had different detail holding ability.

The lighter resin (like the bike) seems to be the best. The darker (dismount body) is okay, maybe has more flash, the middle gray (arm with rifle) is about the same, the rider body (yet another resin) seems good, the dark blue and translucent blue it is hard to tell. The two tiny translucent blue pieces I'm not even sure what they are. I think one may be a ponytail broken from a head (one head has one, one does not) .

I kind of want some stealth suit equipped enforcers in that translucent blue. It's a neat color.

I sent a message to Mantic about whether I need to completely refill the missing parts survey. We'll see what they say.

Clear resin would be a LOT better. It allows you to use what ever color(s) you want to get the stealth effect you are looking for. You lose the ability to bring out the detail if the resin is already colored. I did my Sedition Wars guys and some Predators in clear resin:













Washing a clear resin allows the color to pool in the low areas, if they are already all blue it would not give the effect of bringing out the detail, especially with a blue as dark as the heads I got.

Hey does anyone know the final sprue layout for Enforcer Peacekeepers - weapon options etc?

I'm sure Mantic will answer if you ask them in the comments, but my guess would have been 6 or 7 heads, 5 rifles, 5 gauntlets, 5 wristblades, 1 burst laser and 1 flame thrower with left arms, plus some (maybe 5?) restic shields thrown in for defenders

Mars Attacks update is up. Delay in shipping because the robot was buggered up, but high pledgers will get free courier shipping and a Deadzone accessory sprue as compensation. In any case, they expect to have everything dispatched by the last day of October.

1 is for the Sergeant and 2 are for the Defenders
