You can be as skeptical as you like, it has happened and happened recently. I had a bunch of older figures unpainted I wanted to get rid of. Posted them on the For Sale board on LAF as 'for the cost of postage' as that seemed the best place for those particular figures. Only guy interested in them was not CONUS and the shipping costs were too high for him to accept. I ditched them.

More recently I sent a Dakka member a couple partial figs from a recent KS. I did not want them and he was the only person who expressed interest. Had he not grabbed them they would have gone in the trash with no regrets on my part.

A couple of years ago I had some really horrendous sculpts of 'Zombie Survivor' type figs I tried to find a home for. Same thing. They were crappy figs and really not even worth the postage, so no one wanted them. They got junked.

I've done the same with some books/rule sets recently. Though I gave away over 1000 books including at least a couple dozen rule sets, I had some I found after those got picked up that no one was interested in. So into the recycle bin they went.

I'm getting ready to move to a smaller place, I don't need to hang on to things no one wants, and at times some things just are not worth the hassle of finding homes for. If no one wants them quickly, they go.

Having said that, I sent foot locker filled with some pretty cool stuff to a guy recently, just for postage. When I can find a home, I do.

Yeah, throwing out models that many on here would happily reimburse you for is asinine. Most people who have been unhappy and wanted to get rid of stuff have used the trade thread I built, and people like me have offered to pay back Kickstarter prices for the stuff. Don't waste it. Like kings of war: if you had Elohi, trolls, or ogres, I'd have taken all of them. Judgedoug and Vermonter both sold me stuff they didnt want at retail price.

I'll refer you back to my post where I said that I have little time. Often it's easier to throw something away than deal with taking a trip to the post office to send it off to someone who actually wants the stuff. I wound up dumping a bunch of the KoW stuff in the trash, giving some away to a local friend and sending to JD because it came up in an earlier discussion and I wasn't as busy with work/life at that point so a trip to the post office wasn't as big a pain. #firstworldproblems.

I wouldn't consider my lack of time and willingness to send a random person my personal property "asinine" but obviously your bar is set pretty low for that definition; to each their own.

Six mistakes mankind keeps making century after century: Believing that personal gain is made by crushing others; Worrying about things that cannot be changed or corrected; Insisting that a thing is impossible because we cannot accomplish it; Refusing to set aside trivial preferences; Neglecting development and refinement of the mind; Attempting to compel others to believe and live as we do

LAF: http://www.lead-adventure.de/index.php

And no, they were 15mm historical figs and when I've posted historical stuff on Dakka I get little to no response, so not worth it. That and I've had the mods delete postings to the Swap Shop when I had 2 up at one time (one was stuff for sale, one was an ebay auction). I guess the rule is one active post per person, and since the title and post templates don't really allow for combined auction and regular selling I quit posting my stuff to Dakka for a while, though I am getting ready to unload some Tyranid stuff (will be selling, not giving away) and will post here since they will likely move here.

I might recommend Bartertown if you want separate threads and an active historical community.

You don't even have to go to the post office. You can print postage from USPS.com or through Paypal for cheaper than the post office. Not only that, but I would e-mail you the label to send me the stuff. All you'd have to do is print it out. Heck, if you don't have a printer, I'd probably mail the label to you.

I couldn't give away DreadBall teams to players at FLGS for the cost of showing up and collecting them.
I asked that they also play in the League if they could but there was nothing to stop them from not playing once they had the minis in hand.
They couldn't be arsed.

After that, a local gaming buddy listed entire untouched DB teams + booster stuff for $15 per team lot.
I suspect he won't be getting many, if any, bites.

Good to know now but none of that was going through my head when I was looking a giant pile of steaming restic; I just said feth this and swept what was on my desk into the trash can at the end of the desk. The amount I put into the Kickstarter constituted about 1/3 of my monthly hobby budget so I didn't even consider it would be worth something to anyone else; obviously one man's trash and all that.

For future reference, whenever you start hating on your Mantic stuff and want to get rid of it, talk to this guy here.

Me.

Barzam and I have a younger teenage cousin with some lousy parents who have dumped him on our 80+ year old grandparents while they go off gallivanting in opposite ends of the world.

Kid has the gaming passion but no finances to support it, and subsists on gaming gifts or hand me downs from the two of us.

back on topic- I was good and only ordered a stunt bot and some ruins from this final survey. Barzam said he liked his stuntbot, so that's good enough for me, and I don't have any ruins to speak of, other than what's coming with my now delayed Mars Attacks.

Did they ever say how much a pre arranged Bloodshed on the Battlefield will weigh? I wonder if that will get the instant courier upgrade.

Poorly lit photos of my ever- growing collection of completely unrelated models!

I did list them on a trade site.
Heck, I've seen GW stuff NOS hard to get rid of at 50% MSRP and even more discount.
If the king of gaming companies' stuff can be unprofitable to shift, it's not hard to believe that Mantic (esp. with their short but known history of QC) stuff is sometimes easier to trash than trade/sell.

Well people's hobby budgets aside,

did anyone find out about what bits come with the Peacekeepers sprue?

Still can't find a list. :(

Not the Sprue but here's the digital parts image. The Mauls and claws have been dropped AFAIK and this may have changed in layout but it's an indication.

most of it seems to have made it as is to the final minis below

got a response:

Mantic Games
The sprue comes with a wrist blade for the sergeant, rifles and energy gauntlets for all five models, and defender shields. Also, there is an incinerator and a burst laser, and a range of heads.

Five models per sprue.

Hope that helps! (Dave)

i followed up asking how many defender shields are on the sprue.

Yeah but doesn't show a part count (otherwise we'd only be getting three heads, haha)
That's my main concern - so I know how many sprues to order so I can make a heavy weapon squad, a defender shield squad, normal shooty squads, etc

How did you go about contacting them? I'm still sans anything and they're ignoring my "Could you please simply let me know what date my order shipped, so I can stop asking" e-mails/messages.

Seems kinda strange that the hard plastic Peacekeeper sprue get a hard plastic shield, but the hard plastic Enforcer sprue has to make do with an identical restic shield. I still think they'll come with a baggie of restic shields, and the email is just confusingly worded.

There are five kinds of Peacekeeper excluding the Captain - PK with gauntlet, PK with wristblade, PK with burst laser, PK defender, and PK with incinerator - and 5 bodies per sprue. Rightly assuming that you can at the very least make 1 of each type per sprue, that means it takes 5 sprues to make a 5 man squad of each

The hand and lower arm is molded to the back of the shield (at least it is on the restic ones I got) so the 2 types may not be compatible.

Can someone tell me what weapons and options are on the Peacekeepers sprue? I'd like to finalize my third survey order but I can't until I know how many Peacekeepers to order.
Doug Craig

Five models per sprue.

Doug Craig > Thanks! Please do check. If there's only 1-2 shields per sprue then I would need to order more sprues to make a whole unit equipped with them, for instance. I actually just bought a Necrosphinx for like $25 brand new in box because Warhammer is doing so abysmal in central Virginia. (Two of the three FLGS in Richmond VA have stopped carrying WHFB)
A year ago I bought a skaven army, almost all new on sprue, for something like 80% off.

So, between my initial KS pledge, the first survey and the second survey, I've spent over $1,000 on this game. As tempting as more zombies or Peacekeepers are, I think I won't be adding any more.

Now showing Catachan Jungle Fighters and World War zombies!

Painting total as of 30th November 2025: 136 plus a Deva King statue

Painting total as of 12/31/2024: 107 plus a set of modular spaceship terrain and two walkers and a quad mech and five giants

6 full armies, multiple cubic feet of terrain, rulebooks, signed nude photos of Ronnie and Fisty Glue Man with lipstick kisses... it was a well spent $1,000 at least ; )
