So my next project will be making a scenic base for a necromunda gang(including a gang). I'm looking for the following supplies in proper scale, if you know a European retailer please post a link!

1. Mesh, for platforms, stairs etc.
2. Another type of mesh that is more suitable for fences(bigger holes and thinner net).
3. Cork matt
4. Guitar strings for some tubing on miniatures, which one is the proper one I should use for 40k models?

Thanks!

Edit: Wrong forum, sorry.

Art & hobby, if that's where you live. It's pretty much a one stop shop for painting/modelling needs. It has everything.

Hardware store should have the mesh. Bass strings will probably be too thick for models, so regular strings are the way to go.

I would use electronic solder for tubes. It's easy to bend and holds complex curves. You can get it from hardware and DIY shops. You can probably get cork mat from the same places, and some kinds of mesh -- for example, mesh for car body repairs.

EMA Model Supplies offers architectural plastic parts in various scales.

I saw a you YouTube video where a guy was using plastic cross stitch grating for mesh walk ways. Looked really good painted and was perfect scale. Check the sewing supplies.

Thanks for the help! There is still one item I havent found and I've checked most swedish building supplies/hardware websites. A finely netted mesh to make fences.

There's an image of what I'm looking for but I can't seem to find it anywhere, what is it used for and where do you normally buy it?

If you have an ebay account or don't mind making one/buying on ebay, just search for wire mesh. You can find stuff like this and this. If you don't want to buy on ebay, send me a private message and I could help out (in case we live close to eachother, otherwise swedish postage should be cheap enough).

Alternatively you can try Panduro Hobby or Kreatima but both are expensive and might not be exactly right (with ebay you can get heaps more for cheaper).

Similar stuff from Biltema (also more expensive).

That looks to me like it's just a piece of window screen that's been painted. Could be wrong though. Shouldn't cost a fortune at local hardware store.

Thanks for the links! I think the aluminum net for plastic padding looks perfect, also found it slightly cheaper on another site, thanks for the help!
