Hi there, I'm moving to London in April, and I know no one there who actually plays 40k.
I want to know how is the gaming thing there, because in my actual city the only place to play is the local GW store.
There are clubs? Do you have to pay a fee? I guess there is a variety on the meta, right?
Any info, I'd appreciate it.
Thanks.

Depends where in London you will be, but centrally most people I know play at the largest GW store around, the Oxford Street Plaza one. There is supposedly a club that meets somewhere in Central London, but there is a fee for that, don't remember any other details.

Thanks for the answer.
I don't know yet where I'll be living, but it's going to be almost central London, that's for sure.
The first month I'll be living at Brick Lane, though, so moving to Oxford Street Plaza would not be a problem.

You might have luck finding clubs closer to your local area once you know exactly where you will be, you see. Also, there are a number of other GW stores in and around London, and you might have more luck finding a club if you ask around there. If you swing by the Plaza on a Thursday evening (their gaming evening), you might well bump into me.
There's also a shop called Dark Sphere near Waterloo station, which have tables they use for various games on different nights of the week, I have never played there but I believe they play 40k on Wednesdays.

Well, those fees seems reasonable, I'd take a look!
