Where in the world can I get reasonably priced metlaguns for my catachan infantry? Any good proxies from other companies?

GW sells 5 metal meltas for $8. Chop off the hands and slap them on your IG. I use them for my Catachans.

What's wrong with plastic marine melta guns? (other than finding arms to fit Catachans, maybe)

You can't buy a plastic box of meltaguns from anywhere and bits sellers charge a lot more than 5 for $8.

Aren't the GW ones for SM and too big for my wee-little men?

Here's one of the metal Marine meltas on one of my Cadian Veterans. Not too bad IMO.

We sell fewer of the "specialist" weapons than the regular guns, so they are more expensive, but if you are purchasing in bulk its only fair that the price is lower.

Ive altered both "Ion Rifle" and "Fusion Cannon" so that the price is £1 when purhasing 10 or more in one go, a 33% discount.

Just got my metlas in the mail yesterday. Pretty quick delivery from the UK, nice looking guns as well. Very clean cast as well.

I am pleased.

If even $2.50 is too much try this trick which I only vaguely remember that a friend did. He even gave a shout out out to dakka for the idea so it is probably out there somewhere. There are some sort of jewelry fastener things that are dirt cheap that you can put onto lasguns or boltguns to make melta looking barrels.

Von Ted or Joel of Anvil will be the better people to answer this, though if I had to guess I'd say they'd be a happy medium, as I can't see Joel wanting to limit himself to sales for one character type only

They are pretty much spot on size wise with the GW ones. A big gun, but correct for the game.
