Although cool, this should probably be in the P&M section.

I like the metal stand, I would love to see how much these cost or how to build them.

Aha. Then probably more appropriate for Swap Shop.

Also, those aren't "flying" stands. They're for skimmers.

I'm leaving this in P&M; that you can buy them is tangential to the modeling aspect, IMO.

i saw the name and I though you magnetically levitiated models... that would have been really cool. does anyone know if it is possible on a reasonable budget (both time and money)?

It's actually not THAT hard. You get a large rare earth magnet (say, something like this) - that's your base. You get a smaller magnet (or several) and attach it/them to the bottom of what you want to "fly", taking care to make sure your poles are in opposition with the base magnet. The only hard part is making sure your "flying" model doesn't slide past the edge of your base magnet; could likely manage that with a clear cylinder to contain the flying model, or else essentially tying/chaining it in place.

But that's going to give you something like 1/4" of "flight," total. Probably not worth the effort.

yeah but it could be worth the effort if you were going for a golden demon. or would it drift around too much?
