I've been seeing post and people talking about putting the banner devastation in a LRC or fortification to protect it and create a bigger AoE. Am I right in saying there is nowhere in the rulebook that says it extends from the hull like it did in 5th?

So putting a ravenwing command squad with Samuel in a LRC giving the hurricane bolters 12 shots a piece and any attack squads 4 shots is legal? Not sure a like this game anymore for competitive games

Why not? It's still less firepower than GK have been putting out since they got their current codex.

How are you putting a Ravenwing Command Squad in a vehicle?

Greebo had spent an irritating two minutes in that box. Technically, a cat locked in a box may be alive or it may be dead. You never know until you look. In fact, the mere act of opening the box will determine the state of the cat, although in this case there were three determinate states the cat could be in: these being Alive, Dead, and Bloody Furious.

I'd say that if a banner is in a transport or building, it isnt waving to inspire. Thus doesnt put out a benefit. Even it it could be shown through a hatch or window, at that point I would say where it is and measure from there. Think with logic, not with cheese.

How about we think about logic and what the rules tell us, and we leave our personal subjective opinions of what's "cheese" at home where they belong?

I don't even use it, and I don't see any cheese in it.

Well if you need a fluff reason for it, the banner is not inside the vehicle, it is within its mounting on the outside for everyone to see, whils the unit it belongs to is emnarked and they take it with them when they disembark.

However Mannahnin is 100% correct.

bikes are considered very bulky, this game is getting very mono build. GK were the start, then necron scythe list, daemon flying circus, and now raven wing

Yes, but unless the rules for a LRC has changed, only Infantry (not including Jetpack/Jump) can embark in a transport unlss the transport specifies otherwise.

Mono builds aside, pg 78 under 'Transport Capacity' vehicles can only transport infantry units and ICs whose type is also infantry.

I agree it would be quite cool and "forge a narrative" if you could have a Ravenwing squad come roaring down a LR's assault ramp, but the rules don't support that.
