Does anyone have suggestions advice for a good carrying case for their models?

Looking for one that can carry a balance of 25mm models and vehicles (mostly Rhino size).

Outside of the obvious GW cases and the Army Transport bag that ever so popular.

-Cheers

This is my Leman Russ. There are many out there like it, but this one is mine. Without it, I am useless. Without me, it is useless.

Obliterators: They've got a gun for that.

Ummm those would be the options for a "good" carrying case for your models. You can buy a small briefcase and make your own custom foam lining for it, but when you can get things like the Army Transport bags it just isn't worth the effort to do so anymore.

There's a good article on model transports here.

I use Battle Foam and have zero complaints.

Thanks for the link to the article, Battle Foam seems like the one to go with.

Battlefoam in a rubbermade tote. The tote will cost ya between 5 and 20 bucks just get the one that holds the army you have.

Habor Freight Tools have some alluminum boxes, that even come with a layer of pluck foam in them. You can get them on sale for 25 bucks. Works great for vehicles and if you don't mind having them loose infantry figures.

I'm still going to end up getting an actual figure case at some point, but for now this is working good.

I like to say I have two armies: Necrons, and Imperium.....

I'm thinking of getting some of those boxes used for holding cards (Magic, Yugio, Pokiman, etc etc). The double row ones seem like they could hold some tanks side by side.

Cookie-sheet marines used to be popular. (Magnetize your bases, stick them to a cookie sheet.)

If you have some spare foam lying about, then cigar boxes are also a viable option.
